Ok, so this really doesn't fit into any of the categories of the forums, so I guess it'll go here. Anyways...
A couple of days ago, I was in bed, but I had only been awake since 2PM, so I wasn't that tired, so sat in bed, and eventually around 4am or so, I turned the TV off. But I still couldn't sleep, so I just laid there, and laid there, and watched the clock. Eventually I started dreaming, or "fell asleep" or something, but I had a dream, and then I came out of the dream and saw the clock was now at 6am, but, I had never actually fallen asleep, I know that I didn't, I never even closed my eyes. I was never aware of my surroundings in the real world, while in my dream, but I was in my bedroom with lights and TV off, so not much to be aware of anyways. So, I was wondering, if it was possible that I was just awake for 2 hours, dreaming? I was super tired the next day going to school, because I had literally gotten no sleep at all. I actually fell asleep shortly getting after home around 3pm, and slept till like 10ish.......so I'm never gonna sleep tonight, I have a problem.

I think you were having a lucid dream. It's where you know it's a dream but you aren't really falling asleep. It can happen if you are lying down or if your eyes are open or closed resting. You keep daydreaming in and out not really sleeping, and time passes by quickly during this. Rather than a regular dream to where you don't know that it's happening.

I would probably get a good sleep schedule. Avoid eating junk food and high sugar stuff, and caffeine soda or coffee before bed. Start by sleeping and getting up earlier. Turn the tv and computer off as those things stimulate your brain as you already mentioned to keep you up. Set an alarm to wake yourself up.

Well, I don't think that I knew I was dreaming, I just know that when I did "wake up", I didn't wake up, I just came out of the dream and I was already awake, which is the first time that has happened, I usually know that I am waking up, I don't know, it was weird, I don't remember the dream at all.

Yeah that's why it's called a lucid dream. You probably didn't fall asleep, but your mind went out of consciousness to where you started to dream. In your head you probably knew you had to get up, like a mental alarm clock, so you snapped out of it.
