Should we remove race and gender identifying questions from all forms & applications?
I believe we should with the exception of gender in gender
specific jobs. Why should the
government require a person to identify themselves by race or gender when applying for jobs, loans, etc? Is this not keeping the idea that we should be identified by such things in our society and also keeping the way society views people differently based on such things? It should be irrelevant when applying for anything. A person should base their decision on merits alone and race/gender should not be a factor.

Ugh I'm having legit trouble reading that spacing but I'll try :P

To be honest I don't think we're able to generalize forms like this.
They could be collecting anonymous data of their users and their properties, they could have a "profile" for your name so to speak, it could be anything.
As for work, why wouldn't they be able to want to know?
Biological sex exists whether we want it or not, and though I aggree we should e.g have another option for transgender or "gender neutral" people, I see no problem in them asking what you are physicaly, so regarding age, race, gender, hair colour eye colour I don't care. Even if they select people specificaly through what they look like or their gender,
they are able to do this, because they can make the choice between who gets hired and who doesn't.

race or gender when applying for census

You do realize that censuses will look like this if we do not discriminate by anything:

People in America of people in America: 100%
People out of America in America: 0%

I mostly agree with you! I think it would reduce the amount of discrimination that goes on.

But when it comes to censuses I think that race and gender should be asked as it's just to figure out who's who and how many people are in a certain area.

I get what you're saying, and maybe I was stretching it a bit when it comes to census... Infact that was just stupid of me. I'll edit that right now
