I have a date?

In an extremely strange turn of events I ended up with a date. Yesterday was really shitty, spent the whole day trying not to kill myself etc. Long story short I got a text from a guy I haven't spoken to in a while. I wasn't really sure if he was interested but he was always really sweet to me, but he texted me yesterday apologizing for cutting me out because he was so stressed and everything. I decided to let him talk or whatever and one thing led to another and now I kinda have a date. I mean it's just coffee and a movie at his place, and I know the dangers of the second part but I'm going to be prepared and potentially armed so it's okay. But like I just feel weird. I don't date. I actually hate people. Like he isn't that attractive but he's sweet. And like I don't know what I'm doing. How does one deal with dates?:what:

Update: he has food poisoning, so we aren't going. Not sure if he'll reschedule but like it's annoying, still lost in what to do tbh, like it's been a while since I've had to do this

It doesn't have 2 be weird or anything. If he does reschedule, go out with him but be sure to friendzone him, it think it's the only way. Or... If u want to start a relationship go for it

I've never been on a date before...but If I were in your shoes I'd do what Jaxian said and just be yourself, act as if you're just hanging out with him. With this mentality it will remove your nervousness and will let conversation come easier.

I mean it's not so much that I need to friendzone him, I think I'm finally ready for something. I should've mentioned that he and I have gone out before, but that was months ago and it went decently but nothin ever became of it because of timing
