I'm just wondering what everyone's parents here do for a living.
As for me...well, my father works as a pharmacist, and my mother's a nurse at a hospital.

Currently, nothing, we are currently living off our savings.
But my mum used to work as a manager in the Post Office, and my dad worked for Inland Revenue (a tax man)

I don't exactly know :P
My mother translates scientific texts from English to Portuguese and vice-versa, but when people need to submit their papers she basically re-writes their text and charges more for that. Not her to blame, people write really poorly here in Brazil - and we're talking about graduate students in the medical field. She is self employed.

My father... Well, I know he helps some guys that work with weather and rain in pretty much anything they ask him to do - which means programming, working the math out, or installing equipment. I'm not sure if he's paid, and if he is it surely isn't formal. He teaches at ITA (engineering college) substituting his friend in hopes for a position. With that same friend he used to study neutron detection, being officially paid by the gov., but I'm not sure if that's over already. I'm also not sure what happened with him and military-grade radar technology. He also wants to start some mapping business own his own, but hasn't the time to dedicate to it. (and I already made the site for him... an year ago?)

My mom's an architect-philosopher. I bet you're wondering how that works out, well it does. While my dad works as a deputy director in this flight company. He's also a contractor in advertising and construction, but honestly I don't really understand what he does.. Love them to the max <3

My mom is the head nurse/events coordinator for an assisted living community. It's more like an apartment complex than a nursing home, but they have a full time staff.

My mom is a babysitter for some wealthy Google techies. She earns just enough to barely be able to sustain living, but on the flip side she gets the benefit of hanging in a behemoth new house overlooking the bay when on duty.
My dad's currently unemployed. He has been for years. He tried making his own printing business back in 2007 but it failed miserably and he shut it down. Now he says he's just waiting until he's in a better financial situation and then he'll try starting another business... Hopefully one with technology that won't go obsolete after a few years
