I'm getting a new computer for Christmas this year. My old netbook is on its last leg soo this year I decided I wanted a desktop since they are supposedly better than laptops. I found the Dell Inspiron 3000 (manufacturer number I3847-4616BK) and thought it was perfect. Then I found out it had an integrated Intel HD Graphics card which I've heard nothing but horrible things about so I decided I needed to get a new graphics card for it and decided to get the GTX 750 Ti since it is cheap buy people say it's still a good one. My question is will it fit in the Dell Inspiron 3000? I don't know much about computers except basic stuff soo yeah. If not any other good cheap ones? Oh and would this be a good one to play the sims 3 and 4 that's mostly all I'd play.

The current card in the desktop is integrated, so that poses a problem. However, the Sims isn't very graphics intensive, so the integrated card should do fine, just not on high settings

from reading the Q&A this model has a PCI-E slot, so yes it will fit and work.

What kind of problems? I read somewhere it could be disabled so it wouldn't use it.

There shouldn't be a problem :)

Don't go the TI model.
You'll be pushing it with a standard 750 on that power supply.

With the physical space issue, i'd ring up Dell and ask directly to make sure or search their site for case sizes.

This.

I really don't advise putting third party parts into a pre-built rig.

Power supply should be ok. There is no extra 4 or 6 pin power connectors. All should be good. I would defiantly ask dell on their website about the size, and try to find out pictures from inside of the computer.
