I've been having a lot of errors on VT for the past day and today. They have all been database errors and was just wondering if you guys knew why this was happening?

Those have been happening a lot recently. I know the senior staff have been working on the issue and are trying to get it resolved. Sorry about that :(

Yeah, I'm sure it's no fun.
I was just wondering.

There are a few things that could possibly be causing the errors. We're actively working to pinpoint the exact issue and resolve it. I apologize for any inconveniences this has caused.

It's okay Mike, I appreciate all the work you and the rest of the staff do. :)

I've noticed it as well. It happens to me like once a day for like 5 minutes and then I'm back on. Any idea on when the issue will be resolved?

Most of the time these issues are out of our control (for example, the host may be doing maintenance). As Mike said, we're constantly looking into why these (and other) errors appear, and what the best way to resolve them is. We don't, however, want to just make a bunch of changes that may or may not have any useful effect; instead, we're looking to find the actual causes of these problems.

Been happening to me too, sometimes it may just be your internet connection though being slow. Other times I do get the same database errors that you're getting but if you just refresh the page 2-3 times or wait 2-3 minutes it should resolve itself. Some page loads have been really slow too. But like the admins said, it most likely has to deal with the host, because that's what happens to some of the sites that I manage. And if it's the host that is causing the problem, then there isn't anything that the admins of this site specifically can do.
This also only happens at night for me, weirdly.
