Hi everyone,

I am new to these forums, but not new to forums and posting in general. I actually used to be a moderator over at GameSpot forums and an administrator at another site that had forums as well. So I am pretty aware of how these communities can be really fun and can really create some great friendships. And well... that's why I joined, because I'd really like to make some new friends.

My name's Damian and I am 19 and I really like helping people and giving advice. In fact, I kind of was looking for a forum that had an advice section and I see that this site has several of them. I've already replied to several threads in the dating and relationships section of the forum giving some pretty extensive posts with advice. So far I've seen a lot of different types of people around here, and I'd love to get to know some of you. My interests range from music to sports to gaming to movies to chatting, just kind of a go with the flow type of guy. Out of all those my favorites are Eminem, Coldplay, One Republic, Soccer, Basketball, Final Fantasy, MMORPGs, League of Legends (Gold IV), any movies really (I used to create movies myself actually), and making new friends.

I am here not only to help others but also learn about others and broaden my knowledge on different viewpoints and perhaps even make some new friends (as I already stated before, haha, repetitive much). So anyway, thanks for reading, I am not really good at writing introduction posts, but I hope this suffices. If you'd like to message me or reply here I'll gladly reply, I am on Facebook and Skype often too.

See you around :)

Hey :D Thanks! And yeah it surely does seem like it has a lot for everyone, and I am glad it does :) I learnt a lot on some of my previous forums so I know I am going to here :P And yeah, I used to be a moderator for the Off-Topic section on GameSpot, and in the Playstation 3 sub-forum as well. I used to spend a lot of my time on there when it was summer during my high school years, so I guess that's why.

And I like Yellow, Viva La Vida, Speed of Sound, and Lost for Coldplay. Apologize, Good Life, Stop and Stare, Secrets, and Marching on for One Republic.

I really want to learn how to play Apologize on the piano, because I do know how to play piano.

Awesome :) I think you may enjoy this then, it's one of the best covers I have yet to see. I doubt I'd be able to pull something like this off, but maybe a variation of it XD

Yes, I agree. I tend to look up many piano covers of different songs to try and learn them on the piano since I can't read sheet music :P I don't know if I just find it too difficult, or just don't have enough time, but someone told me it's easy. I didn't believe them, haha.

MUNDO! :p actually everyone, everywhere.

One of my best friends plays Dr. Mundo. I hate laning against any tanky health regen top laners. I was going against a Volibear the other night and he owned me on Riven. I watched a YouTuber who mains Riven and is Diamond and also got owned by Volibear. It seems like that's Riven's weakness, going against tanks (which makes sense, since she is all AD).

Welcome :D Which soccer team is your favourite?

Germany! That's where I was born from too :)

Thank you! Nice to meet you :)

Welcome to VT, Damien! What are some of your favorite movies?

Now when it comes to movies, I like pretty much any movie that has a good story to it. I used to create movies myself, and I had my own cast and everything and we uploaded some on YouTube, so I love watching movies and seeing how some of the scenes are done and analyzing and critiquing them.

I can't give you a list of all my favorite movies, but here are a few that are in my head right now, and they are pretty standard that everyone has heard of and already watched probably: X-Men series, Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings series, Nacho Libre, the Hangover series, The Dark Knight, a lot of movies with Adam Sandler in them (because he is awesome), Pirates of the Caribbean series, Matrix series, Hunger Games series, Star Wars, Wall-E, Avengers, Social Network, Silver Lining Playbook, 21 & 22 Jump Street, and probably many others I am missing.

Have you noticed something? There are no scary movies, because I hate them! Lol, not very into scary movies, I get too paranoid, but I have seen a few that have some really good story lines, just don't remember the names :(

Oh, that's so neat that you've made some movies before! I'm currently taking a Digital Video class, so I've made a few short videos but nothing with major storylines yet. It's kind of the direction I'm heading in, though. I'm obsessed with film/television; it's kind of my escape. But yeah, good stories are key!

You have a quality list there! Silver Linings Playbook is quite possibly one of my favorite movies ever. 21 & 22 Jump Street were hilarious. I'm a huge fan of The Hunger Games (anxiously waiting to see MJ: P1, hopefully this week), and I'm also a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, and Batman franchises. I admit I've never seen any of the X-Men or Matrix movies, but I've been meaning to. Additionally, I've seen Nacho Libre, The Avengers, and many, if not all of Adam Sandler's movies. :P

However, I'm a huge, unapologetic horror fan. :metal: lol I'm into all kinds of horror movies, some of my favorites being: The Blair Witch Project, The Conjuring, Scream, The Exorcist, and Insidious. I'm usually into the movies that offer somewhat compelling (a stretch for most horror movies, lol) storylines and don't always resort to cheap scares (some are fine).

I've always wanted to take some digital video editing classes, but I never really got the chance too, so I pretty much had to learn how to use Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects CC on my own. Now I create YouTube videos on those programs teaching others, so kind of came in handy.

I also do recognize the 2 last movie titles that you've mentioned, I've seen those and yes those are very good! But why have you not seen X-Men!? There have been so many releases of it, and the movie that came out this year is sitting in the top 10 on IMDB :D

Yeah, it's a fun class! I'm at the beginning stage, mostly, trying to take in as much as I can. That's really cool that you're able to pass along your self-taught knowledge. I go to YouTube all the time to watch tutorials, and they are always extremely helpful. I've never used the programs you mentioned, but I'll have to look into them.

Haha, I am not sure why I haven't seen X-Men yet, really. I can't even recall seeing any of them advertised except this year's, so they just escaped me I guess. :P How many movies are there total in the X-Men franchise, like 5 or 6? But yeah, the one from this year was very well received indeed! Jennifer Lawrence being in it almost got me to see it, but I ultimately thought I shouldn't since I haven't seen any of the previous films yet. As a matter of fact, though, I think I'm going to search for these titles on Netflix tomorrow. I might as well rent the DVDs while I'm thinking of it.

The programs I mentioned are at the high tier end and very advanced. What type of programs are you using? Movie Maker? Sony Vegas? iMovie? And yeah YouTube is pretty much helpful for anything really.

There are 7 X-Men movies by the way XD And yeah, you may need some knowledge about the earlier films to understand the most recent film, though I did watch it with a friend who had no knowledge of X-Men and she enjoyed it a lot. So good luck on your movie searching, most of them should be easy to find since they are relatively old, made back in the 2000s.
