I am very ashamed of myself, I'm only 14 and I feel I might be addicted to porn. I cannot talk to my parents or family about this ever. I really need advice from someone, maybe I don't have an addiction. Is it uncommon to watch it like every two days?? I would never be able to talk to someone face to face about this. So I came here for help. What do I do?

porn addiction is a legitimate thing, and isn't something to be ashamed of. Just about everyone has or does look at porn at sometime in their life. Becoming addicted to anything isn't necessarily their fault, rather it could be a cognitive predisposition.

I don't think it's an addiction. I watch it almost everyday and I don't consider myself an addict. As long as u can control yourself and don't think about it every second of every day, I don't think you're an addict.

I don't think it's an addiction. I watch it every day(I'm also 14 btw) and I don't consider myself an addict. As long as you can control yourself and don't spend every minute of everyday thinking about it... I wouldn't consider u an addict at all.

i would say that you are addicted to porn if you CANT go a day without looking at it; like you feel an urgent need to constantly look at it -- if you can go for periods without looking at it or thinking about it, then you arent addicted. dont be so quick to label yourself, it could be less than what than what you are making it out to be.

There's a difference between liking porn and being addicted to it. If you're addicted, your grades will start to fall, you'll likely lose friends, you'll become more withdrawn, you won't leave the house unless you absolutely have to, and you feel like you need it. Watching porn every two days does not seem like that is an addiction. You're fine where you are, most likely, as long as you exercise self control and don't let yourself get to that place.

Addiction would only be, if it interferes with your allday life.

As long as you do not miss appointments or neglect duties such as homework for school, because of watching porn and masturbating, everything is okay. And hopefully you are still able to masturbate without porn only using your "inner cinema" to turn yourself on.

Well I watch it at least once everyday, but it doesnt interfere with my social life or anything, so it's not an addiciton. For example, if friends asked me out and i sat at home and watched porn instead, i think that would be an addiction..
