Popularity in high-school

Well , how popular do you think you are in your school? (just curiosity)
I think I'm just a normal girl. I mean, I'm neither popular nor nerd.
I try to be nice with everyone, but it isn't easy sometimes !! xD

I didn't get along with many people beyond my group. I was easily recognizable as the kinda weird american guy with messy long hair, though. My school was kinda small, with 40 students per classroom with each of the three grades having 3 classrooms each. I guess I was fairly known among my grade.

I was quite popular...probably 25% of the school population were friends with me.
And yeah, I do miss these wonderful moments spent there.

Honestly, I'm not sure there's even one big "popular group" at my school. My school's rather large (1,600ish students and growing), so there's a large variety of social groups to become a part of. I'm friends with people from a lot of different groups, and I feel like a lot of people know me, so I guess I'm popular? But not like the kind of popular you see in movies where I roam the halls and everyone looks at me/knows i'm popular (although I do get a number of hellos, waves, smiles, and hugs).

I'm homeschooling but there was this school like group for homeschoolers' that met every Tuesday. And I was popular in a way.

Id say I'm pretty popular at school, everyone knows who I am and I get along with everybody. I play on the school football team and am a prefect. Never really had any problems with anybody else. Kids in the years below also seem to know who I am and say hi to me when I walk past, even if I don't have a clue who they are.

I was more on the popular side, I didn't hang out with the super popular group. I also wasn't afraid to hang out with the less popular people too.

You know, my English teacher had us write something the first day of school in class. The first sentence we wrote was, "Popularity is an empty social construct; thus, it does not belong in the classroom." I agree with this statement very much. Popularity should mean nothing in high school, and it's sad that it does, but I wish that the student body was more equal all together... Just me?

People used to think of me as unpopular or nerdy, but I constantly had people asking for advice and confiding in me so there must've been something about me they related to. People found me funny and polite but I definitely wasn't popular.

I was pretty popular when I went I guess. I was in the mean people clique and we all raised hell and turned our noses up at people. Good times. We've all gotten a lot nicer in the meantime. (Except me maybe)

Everyone knows of me, but I'm seen as weird, so I don't really have many friends. Nobody talks to me first, and would rather not have their other friends see them around me. I'm fine with it for the most part. Most of the people in this school don't have any real social skills anyway.
I'm not hideous or anything. I'm an average looking person. Maybe a bit big because I'm muscularish and have long legs, big hands and feet, a big head, and big thighs/butt (muscle, useful for kicking down doors), but i'm not repulsive. I'm nice to everyone too, so idk.
Could it be the longboard I carry 24/7? It's a loaded Dervish, so kind of large, but I'm nimble with it.

I live in a small town. to make matters worse I'm a transplant/outsider and gay so yeah I'd say everyone knows who I am but I'm about as popular as the Plague.

I wasn't quite at the bottom of the food chain, but I was friends with some of the people who were among the absolute bottom, and friends with people in the middle-bottom and middle-top. My best friend now was probably third up from the bottom of my grade, and she's still odd but I love that girl. But the food chain is rough when you grow up in a town mostly upper-middle and upper class.

I think I'm a bit too popular :/ I mean, I'm pretty nice to everyone, but sometimes people that I don't know randomly start talking with me, about what they saw me doing the other day, or how much they like my photos, etc.
It's bit creepy lol sometimes I feel like I'm being stalked :P

I could chat with anyone on campus (assuming they don't dislike me nor do I find them annoying), but I don't exactly have a very large friend group at school. If my friends leave off campus cause they have a prep period, I'll just be sitting by myself quietly in the library or head over to my car.

I used to been seen as a popular term at my school a "reject." I hung out with a lot of the "rejects" for quite some time. Yet, now I'm seen as some popular kid, as every one seems to like me all of a sudden. I still talk to those other people every now and then, but for the most part im a lone wolf now. The freshman class at my school likes me the most (especially the girls.)

Actually community college is SO much better than high-school. I was overnighting at a college for a week and the people! They are sooooooo nice there it's unbelievable. Really accepting too :)
As for high-school: I'm known (unjustly) as School-Camp Wanker :( :( :( I have a friends group but they never invite me places. I spend my time in the library translating Latin.
