I wonder if those of you who are cut ever asked/talked to their parents why they were circumcised.
Or do you just asume why you were?

Im not cut, but I can say we never talked about it. I do remember my dad showing me how to shower and told me how to pull it back and wash. But never why we don't cut. My bro is uncut as well.

Depends where you are I guess. In some parts of the world it's for a religious reason, other places it's just the norm. Here in the UK it's unheard of to be circumcised unless it's for medical reasons or religion. I'm uncut and never asked why I wasn't circumcised.

I may be uncut, be even still, I don't think your circumcision is something you need to ask your parents about. I think, perhaps, it's more of a social grey zone.

Cut guys accept they are cut and never wonder why?
If I was cut and could not remember the operation because I was too young when it happened, I would definitely ask my parents why they had it done to me.

True, I'm just saying that it's a social grey zone. It's something people don't often talk about. Obviously it's something I'd want to ask too (if I was in that position), but I personally wouldn't be able to breach the subject. I suppose, it's just, a tough topic to bring up to your parents.

Guess there is no reason to ask why one is not circumcised because that's the way you are born. I also never asked my parents why I am not cut.

I think it's just the common thing to do here. But I haven't ever asked my parents nor do I really care enough to go ask them.

I've asked them and also looked it up on google. They said the doctors recommended it but now a days its not done unless the parents really ask for it. its not a healthy or necessary surgery

I am cut however 3 of my brothers (I have 5) are uncut. when I was younger I did as my dad why I was different (not in a pervy way don't get outta control here!) but he basically said in a quick explanation that my brothers had issues with their foreskins somewhat and getting cut is just less hassles when u get older. personally I am happy that I was somewhat because if I did have problems id hate to be cut later on when id remember it :)

Because I'm Jew. Asking them why would be kinda stupid :metal:

My father is circumcised , that is due religion ( Islam ) and he is born in clear Muslim family . Situation with me is different , because my mom is Roman Catholic , so she didnt support circumcision and I would surely stay uncut , but I got phimosis and they had to cut me . My parents made deal to doctor just circumcise part of foreskin that cause phimosis , and so it was ... Now I am kinda semi-cut , but I can consider myself more uncut , because it grown after it , so it looks like uncut ...

I know why I was circumcised: it's a norm in my country. It's also for sanitary purposes.

I'm not cut, but I asked a friend about his and he asked his mother why she had him done and she simply said "It was the style at the time". She didn't mean him any harm, but she figured if everyone else was doing then she would. My friend said he doesn't care all that much but that he would have preferred to have had his foreskin.
It's a funny subject here down under. Australia is getting more and more influenced by America, but our medicare hasn't covered circumcision for at least 5 years if I'm not mistaken. That and doctors here are required by law to give more benefits and cons of circumcision. I know that sounds a bit funny, but like if a parent enquires about it, they have to get this pamphlet which IMO is more against circumcision before the doctor will even consider it.

My cousins have been circumcised from birth but never asked just because they find it weird talking to their parents about their dick. Gotta agree with them!

When I was a kid I remember asking my father why we were not the same "down there", he just told me the skin will be removed when I'm older.
And when I had forgotten about it, that's when he told me it's time to do it buddy lol
