I need some help, I’m going for budget here, so check my current build out.

Intel Pentium G3258 3.2 GHz

8gb RAM 4x2gb

eVGA GTX270 2GDDR3

ASUS H971 PLUS

500gb HDD

I need help on power supply, cooling and a small compact case for the build

Why don't you get a Gtx 750? Its pretty affordable, GDDR5 and it will probably run most games on Medium - High settings

You need to talk to Charlie (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/member.php?u=61369) he built his pc.

you should give the budget you can't cross, but i suggest you to wait and save money, it's better (and cheaper on the long run) to buy a more powerful pc than getting a low end one and having to change the component every 2 years. per example don't expect running next-gen games with less than a 4gb GPU. If you're really tight on the budget the best deal would be a PS4.

+1 on the GTX 750 idea. Own one myself, great cards for the price.. Picked mine up for $89 AUD.

As for the rest:
You'll want a cheap case+psu combo, though still a creditable brand for the PSU. (for aus, centrecom has one for about $50 currently that's a decent brand)
RAM you'll want a 2 x 4GB dual channel kit, as you said in your post.
CPU is already quite a decent choice also.
Motherboard isn't overly a problem; i'd just get the cheapest for a budget build. Asus is a great brand with MBs though.
HDD i'd opt for a hybrid SSD/HDD drive. They're usually about $10-20 extra than a standard HDD for a 1TB, though will speed up the loading of applications (Skype, firefox, booting into windows, etc) by a fair bit.

Setup will last you a fair while. If it were to get a bit slow, you can easily upgrade the CPU for $200-300 on the same MB. Hope this helps
