So there's a girl I've been talking to for about a week now. She really likes me but, I like someone else. I don't want to hurt her but I want to let her know that we can only be friends. What do I say so she doesn't take anything the wrong way or get terribly upset?

I think it depends on how much she likes u but if its only been a week im sure she wont be to broken up over it and do it sooner then later just be honest to her and let her know that you rly like her as a friend but as a friend only :)

Well said. Just let her down easy. Tell her you really like her as a friend, and that you want to stay friends (if you do want to stay friends). As someone who as been rejected many times, unless you've known the person for a really long time, you get over it quickly, and I'm sure she'll do the same.

gently talk to her. say you really want to be her friend, but you don't see it working out as a relationship.

it still may hurt her though, I mean you can't control how she will react no matter how gently you do it
