Asked my crush out but am not sure if she likes me.

So theres a girl I have had a crush on for quite some time, and I finally worked up enough confidence to ask her out on a date. I am an extremely shy person, and she is the first girl I have ever asked out. Anyways, so she says yes and gave me her phone number. When I text her, about 30% of the time she will not reply. I usually don't text her the next day if this happens, but the day after that I will. Should I be doing this as an effort to not annoy her with my texts and not sound needy and desperate? I have my doubts whether she is actually interested or not, and I cannot get that thought out of my head. She claims the reason she doesn't text back is because she is never on her phone. This girl has a fantastic personality and doesn't seem like the type that would ignore someone. I also would like to know how I can approach her in person more easily, as she is almost always with a group of her friends, which intimidates the hell out of me. I will talk to her any time I can when she is not in her group of 5+ friends, even if she has one or two friends there with her.

Tell her. Communicate this to her. Open communication is the most important thing in a relationship.

pay attention to her responses, she may just be busy and not able to text you back at that moment. if her responses indicate that you are annoying her, then maybe back off a bit and try to talk to her and see how she really feels. just relax and things will move along when it's right.

She is probably doing what i do. See a message, and want to reply, but not have the energy to keep up a conversation. When she doesnt answer one day, yea, skip a day and try again. Getting thirty billion texts a day really sucks, but shes bound to wanna talk sometime.
