Girls, what is your most embarassing puberty-related moment?

I got my period in 7th grade, and I wasn't quite used to having it yet. So I got it one time and, a few days into it, I didn't have much blood when I woke up in the morning, so I thought it was over and I went to school without any pads or tampons or anything. Turned out it was very far from over and I didn't have anything (and didn't think to ask anyone or go to the nurse for whatever reason), so I spent the day bleeding through my underwear and my jeans and trying to hide that fact. I think I did pretty well, all considered. I didn't get blood on anything other than my clothes.

There's a lesson to be learned from this: always have something with you, even if you're not on your period, and wear at the very least a pad even when you think your period's over, just to be 200% sure.

Oh, and also, when I got my period for the first time, I was staying with my dad. I had to ask my father for pads. I'm grateful to this day that he didn't make a big deal out of it.
