No, not usually. I used to wear briefs but I got boxer briefs because briefs were too tight and suffocating lol so I'd try getting a different kind of underwear or get the next bigger size, like jordanhardy said.

as been pointed out by Jordan and others, if they are hurting you, switch to a new type of underwear or go a size up. underwear is not supposed to hurt you

Nope, I think thats a sign of get some new underwear, perhaps a size bigger than you are wearing or a new type all together.

my boxers and boxerbriefs tend to ride up on me, but they dont pinch - that sounds like it hurts...ouch!

I got a little chubby after being stick skinny my whole life (I'm not fat at alll..just a little skinny-fat) and my butt grew from totally flat to a bit of a bubble (my GF love it).....

What happend with my briefs is that they kept on riding up my butt giving me wedgies...I had to move up 2 sizes...Now they totally cover my butt and fit on them snugly.

When I was younger and was wearing briefs, yes. Sometimes boxer-briefs do it too. I suggest you wear it properly; don't be in a hurry because you'll regret it for the whole day. Also, don't wear it while you have a boner; it'll be really uncomfortable.
