I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here we go.
I decided it's about time I get out of my shell and try to meet new people. I was thinking about joining a sports team this summer or even getting a part time job/volunteering somewhere when I turn 16. The only problem is I have 0 experience. I don't know why, but for the last like 4 years I've been avoiding people.
Even though I'm home schooled, I've actually had a lot of opportunities. I decided I need to stop being so shy and make the first move.
After all this time, the only thing I've mastered is the "don't come near me" body language.
Any tips on how to get used to talking to people or how to approach people in the right way would be great.

To be honest, there's no format on how to approach people the right way. Everybody is different. This may sound generic and cliche, but...just be yourself. Try making a friendly conversation, throw in a joke, and everything else should follow through automatically. ;D

So you are introvert type? But do you have close friends? We need friends to share anything as long as it makes you happy. Maybe try to smile or if with classmates talk to them like school activities.

joining a team or something is a great way.
when you see people a simple hello could be the door way to a new friendship
