View Full Version : Gaze upon my onepack!

Yeah, my, uhm, bulge of fat, really.
I've been doing some research online on how to get rid of said fat (of course it turned out i had some kind of incurable disease four out of five times, gotta love Google) and it often resulted in some "magical pills" advertisements, too.
I'm not looking to get a sixpack. And honestly, if i got rid of most of the fat around there, there would probably be a sixpack- as the guy at my mothers' fitness estimated, "it's simply covered by the fat."
I get enough exercise and according to my mother i even eat too little (although i still think i eat too much, i know my mother will force five sticks of butter down my throat if i skip breakfast once again), so i really don't know what's stopping me from thinning out on the fat. I think i already stopped growing, currently a tiny bit above 6 feet in length and 15 years + 2 months old (i realize this is unlikely, but i haven't grown anywhere lately), so "waiting it out" is presumably not an option.
What should i do? I'm not the most confident person and anytime i realize there's a weird glob of body mass on my stomach my confidence levels tend to reach negatives.
TL;DR version | I get enough exercise, i don't eat too much and the stuff i do eat is healthy. Despite this i still can't manage to get rid of the fat on my stomach. I believe i have stopped growing, so waiting it out won't help.

God darn it you 15!!! Going through any kind of diet to lose fat and get abs before you finnish your puberty is DANGEROUS!!! You can eat clean without starving yourself and do daily cardio, it will improve your health and physique but don't go into this bulking and cutting bullshit or whatever i know.
Seriously, what's the deal with abs? If you don't have abs you are not abnormal, girls will not spit on your face guys. Abs mean a extremely low bodyfat percentage which is really not healthy to get, specially before ending your puberty.

Yeah...Its just part of growing up...As kids sm are stick skinny, by teens we get some belly chub and get skinny-fat...by college time many of us gain some serious weight and develop a typical adult body..(one may call it fat..but many who dont have ripped bodies are not obese and are healthy)......Many girls don't look for 6 packs..they too grow their own fat bits as they grow up no matter what stick insect they are as teens...Many like my GF love a little developing tummy chub on their skinny guys to give a nice tummy rub!!!

i suspect TV and magasines brainwashed teens to make them thinks that six pack=normal, regular built=chubby, a little pudge=fat and overweight=obese... :/

I mentioned both that i think i stopped growing (possibly having ended puberty) and i also said i wasn't looking to get abs, but simply get rid of the fat there.
I also mentioned i already eat healthy and maybe even a bit too little, i said i got enough exercise (ride bike to school and work, cardio at fitness, play badminton and running) and that this didn't seem to help me in my weight loss ventures :c
(also not unimportant, i'm not attracted to girls)

Skipping meals is not good if you want to lose weight.
That tells your body you aren't getting enough food therefore it starts to store body fat.
You should also incorporate core workouts into your exercise. Core strength will help you whether or not you want a six pack.
But in all actuality, abs are all about body fat percentage. You can have super strong abs and a beer belly. Just because you can see a muscle, doesn't make it stronger.

actually skipping meals is not a long enough period of time to let your body start stocking bodyfat, as many people believes. But it's still not a good way to reduce your caloric intake.
Well floof i think if you already eating healthy and exercising, if you don't lose fat it's welle possibly because you don't eat enough. If you cut your calories too drastically, your body will use the primary source of energy, which is muscle. You have to reduce your caloric intake not below 20% (if you need per example 2000 kcal a a day go up to 1800, not less)
(BTW i reacted to the fact that you seem to have "one pack" abs and thinks you're fat, which is ridiculous, but maybe you didn't intended to say that and i understood wrong.)

sincere apologies for being unclear- i mean that there is, in fact, a "beer belly" or whatever you want to call it

I think some guys just have soft bellies. I have a six pack without trying just because that's my natural physique. Figures a guy who could care less about his appearance, gets that kind. But my cousin who's close to my age doesn't have much muscle tone and has soft non six pack belly. That's just his build. Thing is he's much stronger than me.

if you are muscular these tests are not acurate. well they aren't anyway. Saying a 50kg for 175 cm male is in the "normal" categorie is stupid.

you have a "six pack" cause you are very skinny, which a lot of 14 years old are(you can't build muscles at 14 anyway). I can guarantee you it will disapear as soon as your pubery will end. There's no such thing as "non-six pack belly", very few adults male have visible abs. Bodyfat doesn't show much before adulthood if you don't have any particular problems with food, so "skinny six-pack" types are almost common at that age, but that's it.

Cardio is great for helping with your problem! Also depends what you are eating , not just how much.... Watch your carbs, eat lots of protein. Remember don't starve yourself just to get "ripped"
