Just a question. I'm sortov regressing into worse self harm for the 1st time possibly. My question, hypothetically if I do start cutting for real, how long will the scars last?

depends they could last a few weeks
they could be there for the rest of your life

depends on how deep, if they get infected and your skin type
some people scar easily some don't

some of my scars are over a year old and still havent faded

Mine don't go away, at all.

My skin when I started was very tough, it took alot for it to scar and now it's become sensitive, any little cut will scar now for me.

Some scars will stay there forever. Others could dissappear in a few weeks. It all depends on how deep you cut, what you use to cut, etc.

It depends on the severity.
I still have a star shaped scar on my wrist that I cut 4 years ago, that my deepest cut.
But the lighter ones usually fade much quicker, most of my lighter cuts are long gone.

It all depends on how deep they and how sever they are. I still have a sever one on my hand from the first time i tried.

as with most scars they are often permanente or remain on your skin for an extended period of time (unless they are noy verry deep).

You know the best way to avoid scars? dont cut.

They dont really ever go away they just fade but more or less are your emotional scares going to last if you cut?

i was a cutter on and off for 6 years. some will fade in months, some will fade in years and some will never fade.

this could be just me, but i cut all the way down to the bone on my thumb on a camping trip last year, and it has been healed for a long time.
