Hi, just wondering how many of you would or have dated someone of a different race? If you dated someone of a different race, were most people you knew accepting?

I have been in only two good relationships. And my second is my current one.
The girls I've been in relationships with are wonderful!
And most people I know..well all, are accepting!
Which is great!

I've never been in an interracial relationship, but I probably would if I found the right person. I'm most attracted to my own race but there are certainly people from other races who are attractive, the problem is im not sure if my family would accept it but I also don't care that much. And this person, despite being a different race, would probably have to have a similar culture to mine, just because I feel like we wouldn't have enough in common otherwise, but people can be different races and have the same culture

My family would probably be really accepting considering my dad had been engaged to a half black chick before he and my mom became a thing. I haven't really had a chance for an interracial relationship, but if I happen to be attracted to someone of a different race I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of dating them, it's just right now I don't really have it in me to date anyone, ya feel? To me interracial relationships are a non-issue, I feel like people really don't care about it anymore, and I mean why should they? Love who you love and live your life, simple as that.

Well I wouldn't now since I'm waiting for someone. But I would date someone in a different race if I was available. As for accepting, I don't expect a few family members to accept it but I really wouldnt care honestly.

I personally have no problem with it. But I feel with anything that's new and strange, people are gonna have different opinions and thoughts behind it. With every positive there is a negative. You just have to understand it's still something that many people have trouble understanding and still brings lots of controversy. But love is love, and to me it shows no color. I'm sure you are able to ignore negative people that get in the way of true love, then you should be fine.

I know it sounds so cheesy and stuff but I really don't care about race. There are awesome people of all races. My only ex gf was black while i'm chinese.

It's funny because I was considering making a thread like this. I guess I'd be open to dating people of different races, but I find myself more attracted to causcasians and oriental asians. However, if the person was someone I really liked and was really compatible with me, then I wouldn't be concerned with race.
Edit: My parents are open with me dating a person of any race as long as they are a good person. They said that it would be more convenient for a lack of a better term if my brother and I dated other asians since the two families' cultures would be similar. However, at my school, interracial dating doesn't occur much. The school I go to is extremely diverse, but the people tend to stick with people of their own race.

I'm fine with that as long as compromises of main subjects in life can be done in a specific perspective.

i would date outside my race for sure. if i like someone its because i like them for who they are, not what they are. for me its a whole package deal.

I want to be in a interracial relation. My race girls are, well, awkward and idiotic. Just hate them. They don't know enough english, and think I flirt on them with my english.
Even though I'm an Indian, I'm white.
