Keep in mind I have drank liquor a few times and it never phased me much other than occasional hangover. So last night I was tired but couldn't go to sleep. I was a little hungry and had a craving for creal and peanut butter. So I ate a bunch of Rice Krispies with peanut butter ( I know bad idea but it tasted amazing at the time). I still couldn't sleep So I got some dark rum and orange juice for a mixer called a Cuban screwdriver. I filled a coffee cup with orange juice and about a shot of dark rum. It calmed me down and I went right to sleep

Wale up this morning and stomach is rolling. Been having what feels like bloating, shivers, fever, diarrhea, weakness, and fatigue. Stomach is very unsettled but comes and goes. I've been awake for 12 hours almost and I've only eaten a few spoonfuls of Mac n cheese and a couple sips of sprite. Keep in mind I almost never miss a meal but 12 hours with basically nothing is concerning for me. I feel kinda hungry but the thought of food right now is nauseating. I took a really hot shower which helped the aching and fatigue. I told my bro what I drank and he wasn't concerned about it considering what I ate but I'm wondering if I got bad liquor or food poisoning

On webmd the symptoms of food poisoning are

Nausea
Vomiting
Watery diarrhea
Abdominal pain and cramps
Fever

Which basically spells out my symptoms so I'm a bit worried

It's probably bad food or bad liquor. I had the same feeling when I drank some rakija, a local spirit.

Maybe the milk/rum/orange juice combo upset your stomach, but I don't know about the fever, but maybe you coincidentally got sick. If you ate anything else questionable yesterday maybe that made you ill.

It sounds like you have the stomach flu. It could have just been coincidental that you got sick along with drinking your little beverage.

Happens to me very randomly when I drink (mostly with bourbon), the doctors I've talked to about it don't seem concerned about it at all. If it keeps happening though with alcohol get a test for your liver function and if it starts happening regularly even when you're not drinking ask about a bacteria called h. pylori (helicobacter pylori).

This is very possible.
Good reply Mike.

I find that Dark Rum is the one liquor that will make me sick if I drink it, especially mixed with orange juice. It's just got too many spices. It's more likely you're sensitive to dark rum, and should avoid mixing it like that.

a hangover or upset stomach wouldn't cause diarrhea or a fever. you caught a bug and just happened to get sick the next day is all.

You did exactly what I did, got drunk, then got sick.

Not sure what might have caused it! The whole combination of what you put in yourself makes me wanna puke just reading about it!
Regardless of what you have, make sure you stay hydrated especially if you have diarrhea! I'd suggest water, Gatorade, and soup!
And if you wanna eat something solid, try saltine crackers!
If all of this continues, you may want to see a doctor!
I wish you a speedy recovery!
