This is not the normal place I post but i wanted to give it a shot.

She as an Acer Aspire 9410z
It runs Vista (yeah i know the worst OS, but she knows how to work with it :metal: )

Now: it is running reaaaaaaaaally slow like 20 minutes to boot.
i've already tried copying her HDD to a SDD and sticking it in. But it didn't work any faster 15 minutes to boot.
Should i do a full reset of her computer or put on Windows XP even though it isn't supported anymore.

Thanks

in RUN type in msconfig then go to the startup tab and see what is being loaded when u turn on ur pc... get rid of it all cuz u prolly don't need it all starting up. hope this helps :)

So long as she doesn't have any important videos, pictures, so on and so fourth just reinstall Vista, that's what I do when I can't fix and OS, I just start over, and put all my files on an extremal HDD.

Chances are it's full of bloat wear, shit that runs on start up that she doesn't need. Or maybe the disk if fragmented as fuck, defrag the disk, do a disk clean up, remove all unnesiccery software, if the hard drive is full that might be another cause. Other than that, I find it's easiest to just reinstall it.

its time to upgrade. sorry but you can't stay with a 2007 computer this late in the life cycle and not expect it to show signs that it wants to die
