I have no way to be snarky about this.

The fuck is wrong with people... Being arrested for feeding someone who has no reliable place to get meals? No place to sleep besides the cold hard concrete? The fuck...

Oh, Florida...... Another reason for me to dislike you.

Being 90 years old does not exempt him from the law, AFAIK.

A new city ordinance forbids anyone from feeding the homeless in public. The week before, Abbott was busted twice for feeding the needy at a nearby park.
Fort Lauderdale is the latest U.S. city to pass restrictions on feeding homeless people in public places. Mayor Jack Seiler said the law was passed to ensure that public places are open to everyone and stressed that the city was working with local charities to help with the root causes of homelessness.

I thought it was obvious here that the problem is the law itself.

It also doesn't exist to make "public places open to everyone" - which makes no sense - but rather to ensure that "homeless people are driven elsewhere with a positive effect on property values".

---

In snark it's all kind of ironic because I'd imagine the people who support this are still keen on withholding a right to suicide.

Way to completely miss the point of the information guys. Seriously though, these posts give me the idea that you support this kind of law.

That law shouldn't exist in the first place. It being a 90-year-old just gives the story publicity about the law, compelling people to take action. For instance, I had no idea that this was happening before the story, but now I get to feel disgusted at the human race for making it harder for people with nothing to get food in a retarded attempt to hide the homeless.

^^^^^^Exactly this.

What I was going to say was essentially, a law may exist... But does it make it reasonable? Just? Logical?

As far as I'm concerned, if this is any proof, the answer is a big, whopping "not really".

Sure, there are good laws- tons of laws exist to help keep fairness and order in place, as well as to protect people from themselves and each other... But some laws are simply the result of bureaucratic incompetence.

I honestly didn't watch the video (I personally have a distaste for Jack Russell or whatever his name is), but judging from comments on the articles, social media and these...

The fuck is wrong with people

it shows how sad our society

What...is...wrong with some people?

I was quick to assume that there were issues present not only with the law, but those enforcing it - the latter being a theme on the Daily Chronicles where clashes on opinions law enforcement agencies (i.e. cops) tend to be frequent and forced. The man was already warned, multiple times, before his arrest, so I honestly can't be against those enforcing the law - which has happened on some articles I read.

I am aware that this man has a history of doing this, and quite a few years back he went to court so that he could distribute food to the homeless on a beach, and he won. While I support his noble cause, simply being stubborn about it won't help him, he should take it to court again. I agree, the law's quite silly.

As a side note, I am in no way, at all, keen on denying anyone's right to suicide.

What about the fact that the law makes NO sense, goes against basic human morality, will hurt thousands of people, ohh, and it also forces people to ignore there fellow man in need. CountryKid, I expected that from you, but Alex?

America is now a country where murder is punished with murder, where people can't marry each other if they have the wrong genitals, where it is illegal too play Dominoes on Sunday in some places! And obviously, you can't help a fellow human being!

Every place on earth has fucking stupid laws, but this one is next fucking level, I am ashamed to be human right now.

What the fuck is wrong with planet earth? What the fuck is wrong with humans, why can't we just get the fuck along, we're stuck on this ball of rock, why can't we just be civil at least?

I was thinking about people against the cops on enforcing a law that I agreed on being absurd on my second post. I don't agree with the law at all, but I don't agree with his stubbornness, he should have taken it to court like last time.

Obviously, it's better to bend over and hand back the lube, than actually think for 2 atto seconds about the law, I think he was right to be stubborn, if that's how you can describe him.

This is a case of the government having far, far too much power over the general population, there should be sort sort of campaign to refute this law. Why should someone bend over to a law, that makes no sense, that is designed to help specific people, by hurting others.

Well then you go start your campaign shit. See how far that goes. The law was voted in. Yeah maybe it's not right so go complain at the law makers.

Cops are not to blame for the.

The fuck are you blithering about? Show me the place I said cops where to blame, please go ahead. I'd LOVE to see the place where I blamed the cops.
(this is simply more evidence you are obsessed with the police, keep digging, your not going to find the top)

That law wasn't voted in by the people, it was voted in by a small group of people (as far as I know, I do admit that my knowledge of your (retarded) law system) who don't understand the world, and are warped around the finger of the corporations.
I'm not going to bother starting any campain, and why call it shit? You seem to be pointlessly defensive and angry right now? What's the matter? Is the law that you love and obsess over been proven to be stupid, un-thought out and backward? Or are you just angry for other reasons?

And once again, show me the place I said cops where to blame, please go ahead.

No you're right you never. said the cops were to blame. I was just pointing that out.

I'm pointlessly angry? Look at you flipping shit over a law that doesn't even affect you. The law was voted in by representatives we voted in. I'm not obsessed with the police so just stop that shit. Jesus Christ I barely even mentioned them.

So you're just gonna talk big and not do anything? It's shit because it's not gonna do anything. It's pointless. Politicians don't care.
