Back story. Highly condensed.
Midnight, message from friend, friend having breakdown, go to his house on motorcycle, he jumps on the back to save us a 1.5 mile walk, hit big fuck off rock and the back slides out in 2 inch mud, both of us got kinda fucked up.
Back story over
I went to A&E, they looked it over and said I have torn the muscle in my leg, (didn't even know that was a thing, apparently legs don't like having a motorcycle land on you at 40MPh and then get scraped down the road, who would have thought? Right? No...ohh), and over the last few days it's been a bitch, so what do I do? Get extremely high on morphine mixed with other painkillers, and prescription drugs, and then got very drunk, and I jumped off a thing and made it worse, weren't back to A&E and they told me it was still as bad as it was, but that I'd been "putting it under too much strain", quote unquote.
Basically, my complaint is, I cant stay high as fuck on morphine for weeks on end whilst it heals, and I can't stop using it because I have a busy life style (why, why can't I sit in bed all day...why god why?). So the only two options I have can't be done, so I'm between a rock, another rock, a third rock, a hard place, and Chuck Norris. What do I do here? Suck it up and deal with the (quite unbearable) pain, I mean come on, my friend Tom braked to hard in his car (admittedly a J turn wasn't necessary, but off topic) and I TAPPED my knee on the centre console and nearly cried, I can't do that every day, so I'm stuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Wow! O.o
Sorry to hear that man. It must hurt badly. I don't know how to help other than saying I hope it gets better soon. Do you have any idea when it will be healed up?

They said it'd take about 5 weeks (ish), because I decided to push a motorcycle 3 miles on it and sleep, and go to college before getting it checked. Clever me, they said if I'd gone immediately it would have been like 2 weeks or something. :/ Clever me.

5 weeks. At least it isn't 5 months.
Hope you feel better soon bro.

Poor Joe! :( My dad tore his calf mussel last year, so i have an idea how painful it is. He read up on it and did home therapy stretches and stuff. I guess yours must be different because he went to a sports injury doctor and the doctor told him not to baby it. He had to drag his leg waking for a while and if he moved it wrong he got a big jolt of pain. So sorry you're going though that.

ouch ! I am sorry man. I would advise trying to take it easy as you can. the last thing you want is to do anything to aggravate the injury and set back the recovery even more. hoping for a fast recovery

Sometimes I have to drag it. I forget what the muscle is called (its on the front of your thigh, above your knee) but I torn it just above the knee, and now I'll go to take a step forward and my lower leg won't move properly and I'll fall over or stumble. So that sucks.
And ye, it shirts like fuck, its the weekend so I don't have college, so I've just been sitting Jere off my tits on Morphine

My best advice is up your protein (yes it sounds extremely stupid but they do stuff to help muscles heal), apply heat where you can (I don't know how big the tear is). But try to take the substances out and maybe swap them for things a lot less potent because I just feel like extended usage is a horrible idea. Do what stretching you can without totally breaking down, but take it as easy as you can at first, try to stay off it while your body starts to do what it does

Ye, it's been like a week now, my doctor phoned up and told me I should start doing things like short walks and climbing up and down stairs, apparently that helps.

My leg hurts like shit when I move it. But I have to do some walking every day as "home physical therapy", that hurts, but not too badly. So long as I don't like step off somethong to hard, or hit it, mostly I don't feel much pain from it, but if O do rather of this etwo things....my god....the pain...

First thing's first, you gotta get off the morphine, bud. It's a super addictive substance, and if you continue to regularly use it, you'll get messed up. It sounds like you tore your quadriceps. You should buy a brace so your legs can't flex.
But i'm not a doctor, so who gives a flying fuck, am I right guys?

Urmm, I give a flying fuck. I don't use the morphine anymore, he gave it to me for the first week, I don't take it after now. And they didn't say anything about a leg brace, so I won't use one. I'll going to go ahead and listen to the trained pros here.

I'm just giving a recommendation. I've had this injury before, and that's what was prescribed to me. Some doctors do it, some doctors don't. But if you truly want the pain to be at a minimum (http://www.braceshop.com/shop-for-your-brace-by-injury-or-condition/knee-injuries-and-knee-conditions/quadricep-tendon-rupture-braces.htm?arrow=1&dir=asc&order=price).
But i'm not a doctor, so who cares?
