Anyone watch The 100? It's an American sci-fi show. It is set a 100 years(not where the name comes from) in the future, basically what happened off screen 100 years before, there was nuclear war on earth and everything and basically everyone were wiped out. Only a few thousand people were left and there was a massive space ship(The Ark) built to harbour them all in space close to the earth due to radiation. 100 years on, 100 18 year old prisoners(this is where the name comes from) were sent down in a space ship to live on earth and to see if it was habitable again. The first series follows the groups encounters with what the earth holds, they find old cars, old guns, even old whiskey! They come across different cults of people who have probably descended from survivors that didn't go on the ark, with fights and wars between the groups etc. It ends with a massive explosion/fire with doubts over who survived and who died it was intense.

The second series starts with a few of the main characters being locked in what looks like a mental asylum and it turns out they were "saved" by another group of people living within a mountain on earth. There are signs showing that something isn't right about them.

There's more to it than this but I'm not that good at explaining over the internet. Anyone who watches it will know how good it is and interesting it is, anyone who doesn't watch it I would recommend it.

I'm currently on S1 E5 or 6 (watching through Netflix). I find it kind of... slow to get into, but I've heard that many really like it so I'm kind of holding out for an amazing plot twist or something.
