Truth or just an Excuse

So, I met a girl and after smalltalk and a pretty nice conversation I got her number. So on Monday I asked her if she had time to meet on Sunday. After 3 hours she answered by apologizing that the reply took so long, and then said that her village has a festival in which she helps cleaning up afterwards so she can't. I'm sceptical, as my friends have different opinions. The chats are pretty good, mostly I open them but she starts some as well. What do you ppl think? Is she lying about the clean-up or not, and should I ask for another day? Thanks:)

Seems like a genuine excuse, if she talks back to you and seems interested I would ask her out again, don't worry about it too much.

is there a festival party going on that day/the day before? that does not seem like a lie to me. It is one of those excuses which you would really have to think about pretty hard if your using that for your lie. she is probably part of the clean up crew or whatever. ask if you can go to the festival/party or whatever. still though, that just doesn't seem like the answer someone would give if they were lying

But seriously, you should probably trust her a bit more. At least until she gives you a legit reason not to.

That's pretty random (and actually is a valid reason) to be a lie. I would think she was telling you the truth. Try asking her again.

it could be legit and it could be a lie, then again, it could just be that she isnt ready to meet with you just yet. i would ask her again for another day, tr to be flexible with her scheduling, but dont pressure.

I say u should offer to come with her and maybe u could hang out while cleaning up, her response should tell u if she was telling the truth or if she was just blowing u off
