So my coach was upset at me for some mishandled plays today. I was in the locker room after showering, and had just started to get dressed when she called me into her office. I was in just my bra and panties, and she basically talked to me for about 10 minutes regarding the game. It was somewhat awkward, since I didn't have any more clothes on. I mean, we've all seen each other in the locker room, but I've never been coached like that in just my undies. Has this ever happened with anyone else?

I dont think I would mind. As you say it happened in the locker room, so I guess a conversation can happen in all kinds of clothes or naked. I've taken advice in gymnastics in the locker room completely naked. But that was in a positive tone.
If your coach was angry, it may have made you feel more vulnerable and unprotected, without your clothes on.

Unless they're see through it's the same as a swimsuit isn't it? No big deal.

The simplest answer is do what you feel comfortable with. If you don't feel comfortable talking to the coach in less than normal clothing, simply tell her "Coach, I will be back in just a minute, I'm going to put some clothes on."
Telling her you will come back will ease any anger she might have about you walking out on her, and telling her the reason you are walking out should make the situation easier.

It wasn't that I didn't like it, I had just never seen or heard of this happening. So I was curious if anyone else had experienced this before. I guess I did feel more vulnerable in my underwear, but not in a bad way, more of in an intimate way and while I wouldn't say I enjoyed the experience, I feel that I wouldn't mind being seen in that way again.

yeah I've had that happen to me before by myself with my coach or with the whole or part of the team. She's even talked while were showering and changing but that more for like the blah blah blah kinda stuff. If its really important she'll at least wait till were done showering so she knows we are listening. But like somebody said, if you're not comfy then tell her :)

I have heard of this happening with a few girls in a group but never in a one on one situation before. Like a coach talking to a whole team and most of them are just in panties and bra (sometimes just panties). If it happens again just tell her that you ant to get dressed before she coaches you as you feel uncomfortable, I'm sure she'll understand

when I was on the swim team our coach would always pull someone into the office for one thing or another..some of us at times would be naked or topless or just wearing a bra...we never thought anything of it

I agree with just doing what you are comfortable with...if it makes you uncomfortable maybe next time you could politely excuse yourself to go get dressed first. She probably didnt mean anything by it.

I would not like it, you should just say I will be there when I am dressed or put a towel on.

That happened to me too. I was the last one in the shower. We all use the school's towels. Someone took my towel. So I had to walk to the other end of the locker room to the coach's office. I had to ask her for a towel because all the towels were gone. She asked me if I was comfortable naked and I'd told her about my family.
