I don't recall ever getting a full physical exam, maybe when I was younger. I don't think you are supposed to ever get one unless your family doctor thinks you should be getting one. I don't think they check your prostate at 19 either but if they ever do, they use a glove and lube so it's not supposed to hurt.

i've always gotten a yearly exam. it's not scary. he just checks my ears and eyes, listens to me breath, taps my back, pushes on my stomach and things like that. last year he played with my balls a little gently and i got a half boner, which he didn't say anything about. he never stuck his finger up my butt.

Same since we had the same pediatrician. I have to get one yearly because of my special needs stuff and I think Liam just got tossed in with me. Afterwards we got a lollipop! :yeah:

I have physicals yearly, but there is nothing necessarily wrong with me, it's just a checkup. Basically the same stuff as Voodoo. But you probably won't get a finger up your ass, there should be no reason to.

Far as I know they just do that to men who are like 40+ to check for prostate cancer, which older men can get.

Usually it's good to have one just to be safe to make sure you are healthy. It would be wise to set one up for you from time to time. I would want to say probably once a year. Just the same as you go to the dentist as a check up. Sometimes you'll be fine and you just want to make sure, other times they will tell you what's wrong or something about you that needs work on. Nothing to be scared about. I'd rather know if I'm ill, than not know if there is something wrong with me health wise and it could turn worse. Don't worry.

I might but not in such circumstances.

Ah yeah a lollipop definitely makes up for the humiliation of having your testicles handled by a doc.

Right, that's what I meant, that's the point for the anal exam and I don't think you get that until you're much older.

Have never gotten one

Me neither as I said, and I don't want to ever get one.

Bro at 19 I think you should be able to make your own appointments with the doc.

I think its normal to get a physical every 5 years or so, but they don't check your prostate until you are like in your late 30's to 40's. As for the boner issue, it could go either way. Just jerk of before you go to the doctors or maybe just don't think about anything remotely sexual for the time being

I've always gotten one every year. It's just to make sure you're developing at the right pace. The doctor usually just listens to me breath, looks in my eyes, ears, and throat, pushes on my stomach, feels my balls for lumps (which I think is a good thing for them to do, tbh...), and they'll ask questions about drugs, (for me, personally, depression and anxiety) and they'll just talk to you really briefly. You're SUPPOSED to get one, as far as I know, every year. I've lived in different states and in those states, I had to get one from when I turned 13 until now. They won't put a finger in your ass, not until you're about 40.

Ive played several sports over the years and with each one, they required a entry and exit physical to document any injuries for insurance liability. I would have 6 or so a year and they were simple. 2x a year I would get the full head to toe physical. Due to some injuries incurred, they still check on those as well. I have always used our family doctor and not the one the school assigns.

I have them from sports and stuff. no big deal. very simple. they probably wont do a prostate exam at your age. if they do, it might hurt a little, but it is quick enough and they try to make that painless as possible (though again, at your age you probably wont need to have a prostate) exam

The is no finer up the butt in a physical until your 40's unless you have a problem. In a physical the doctor does all the normal check-up things plus makes you strip down to underwear or nothing to exam you. He also is more touchy feely don't freak out.

i played football for the first time this year and got my first physical exam.
All the doc did was look at my eyes, ears, and throat. then he checked my breathing and heart beat. then he had me pull down my pants and put his hand next to my balls and had me cough to check for hernia. then he wanted a urine sample which you do in the bathroom. nothing to worry about really.

my experience for exams has been exactly the same and it was no problem and completely harmless, so there is nothing to be afraid of.

check heart, lungs, reflexes, spine. for those i have my underwear on. just drop them to my knees for less than a minute when the hernia test and testicle check is done.
