Hey, anyone here plays golf? I quit swim, long story and don't wanna say, and I chose to do golf this year instead. Any tips?

from doing a little golf, not on the school team, I just know it takes a loot of time and it be super expensive if you want decent clubs. you really almost need to get with someone who has been playing golf for years, a coach or someone at the club, who can work with you one on one on your swing and stuff. there really is so much that goes into it. still, hope you have fun

I like golf, but I find it too expensive, if I could play more I would, but my part time job doesn't pay enough, golf is a rich man's sport.

I would definitely advise trying someone else clubs to see if you really want to at first, before you buy your own. due to the very expensive nature of golf, you don't want to pay all that money on something you find out later you don't really like

Like Seth said, its very, very expensive. (Mostly because its a rich persons game. So they charge a lot for basically a stick with a lump on the end...that's the economy for you)
And it takes a long time to get good, but its a very relaxing game, be sure to have fun.

I've never played "real" golf but I've played around at driving ranges and have mini golfed. Based on my horrible attempts at both I have concluded that golf is not my sport :lol3:

I only played like mini golf really. It's fun-ish but I could play more interesting games...my uncle plays golf. He's pretty good

I don't like it. It's kind of a snob sport, like polo.

Once upon a time I tried to learn to play golf. There's a lot of technique involved in the sport, but once you properly learn it I imagine it is a very fun sport to be involved in. I'm sure you have your reasons, but personally I would've stuck with swim.

I've never played an actual game (round?) of golf, but I would love to try. I'm pretty sure it's a whole lot harder than it looks on TV.
I'm surprised you aren't swimming anymore, Jordan. Good luck with golf, though. I hope you do well. :)
