No, not actual site moderators. I get why you can't do that.
There's this person who I'd like to add to my ignore list, but I can't do it because apparently they're a "moderator". Moderator of a diary, I'm guessing?
I was wondering if there's a way I can still ignore them. Thanks!

Yeah, just avoid them. I know its so freaking annoying when these people come at us. Given that they have to close everything you freaking post. But personally I think they are good people! Why do you have a problem with them?

I agree that this is very annoying, because it defeats the purpose of having an ignore list to begin with. there are at least a couple of folks on here whose posts tend to make my eyes bleed, but of course the forum software considers them "mods" because of the diaries. not cool.

he's not talking about VT staff, he means diary owners have some moderator permissions that override the ignore list.

It can be an issue for us too, actually. Unfortunately, there's not really any way around it. I'm sorry :( But yeah, diary moderators are considered moderators by the forum and so they're treated as such.

Aw :( I'll try to ignore their posts I guess... It's just hard when they're an active poster.

It's very annoying and causes issues with moderation as well. I've tried to find a mod that would fix that issue, but have been unsuccessful in doing so. Sorry, but at this time there isn't a way around it. If somebody is giving you a hard time you could always contact a moderator about the issue.
