My dog just died last month and I can't stop grieving. I'm actually getting depression now. There has to be something wrong with me because who would get this sad just about a dog right? I've had this dog my whole life. Maybe I just had depression before and the dog thing just made it worse?! What the heck is wrong with me??

nothing is wrong with you. if you've had this dog all your life, then you should be sad about its death.

If you've had the dog your whole life, it's probably just grief. Totally natural. Happens to everyone, really, we all grieve in some way or another over something or another.

Ok first stop thinking there's something wrong with you!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with you at all.
Having a dog your whole life, and losing him/her can be devastating. Yes its a dog but dogs are family! Depression is normal in this situation. I had a dog my whole life...he passed at 17. I was grieving. It's natural. Don't worry.there's nothing wrong with you..

My dog died a few years back and I still miss him. Grief will never goes away but you'll get better over time. Nothing is wrong with you!

nothing wrong with you. the dog was more than just a pet. it was your friend and family member. I cried when we had to put my dog down. I had it for 12 years (3-15). I loved it to death. I sometimes still get sad when I think about it. so no, its completely normal

Exactly.

Nothing wrong at all. Losing a pet is sad. I would be sad if my dog died too.

I'm sorry about this and that your dog passed away. You are grieving and this is normal. There are different stages to it, and you are just in the early stages of this. Eventually you will come to accept that your dog is gone, but right now you are still depressed about it. You'll be fine, don't worry.

As so many have said, your reaction is completely normal, and especially if this is the first time you have lost a really close loved one. The single most hardest thing in life is to loose a loved one. I lost a grandfather 2 weeks before my 15th birthday. It was heart-breaking. Now, I still think of him. I think of the good times. It's hard to feel now, things will get better. Talk with family. Remember the good times, and also there's no harm in having a tear down your cheek as you smile about all the fun times. The pain will go, but keep the memories.

It's totally normal.
One of my pet rats died about a month a go and I still cry whenever I see a picture of her. Mostly because I miss her and I loved her so much.
Even while typing this I'm crying with a big smile on my face because she was such a beautiful living creature making me so happy.

Keep remembering the good times about your dog. Think about your dog often. Appreciate the moments you had with him/her.

NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU ! My dog died at 14 years old last monday so I know exactly what you're going threw. Your dog may've not been a human but your dog was apart of your family, it's very upsetting when a part of the family is lost. Depression sucks so bad, but try to think of the good memories, MOURN your dog, MOURNING helps, It sucks to go through but its the first step to healing and with time, you'll get over your dogs death. Then, when its time, you can get another pet to make memories with ( Idk you but I'ma give ya hug becuase well I can and hugs make people feel better most of the time, they make me feel better sooo  )

Ur feeling r normal. Plz accept my sympathy.

It that if my dog died, I'd feel like a family member died. It doesn't mater if it was a dog or a person,he was like family to u. I hope u feel better in the coming days.
