Hey,

I am currently watching AHS Season 2 Asylum (Almost done with it). I find it light but realistic - serious but funny at the same time. I really like the scenery, the story, and I'm hooked!
The only thing is that compared to season 1 it's much weirder (it's just different and more disturbed). I wouldn't call it creepy, or scary. I didn't get scared at all, and I'm on the part where Lana comes back from Bloody Face's houses, and is back in Briarcliff's Manor.
It was light. I watched it at night too.

The thing is that I would never dare to watch Horror Movies, cause it would probably scare the shit out of me haha. SO why am I not scared by Ahs, isn't it supposed to be really scary?
:what:

I'm currently REwatching AHS-asylum.

It's not supposed to be scary. It's a parody of horror cliches and famous horror scenarios; that's the point of the show.

I really love it though, I'll be starting season 3 soon (finally on netflix!) I can't wait to see.

It's amusing how people always believe horror should be scary.
Many horror movies and even shows now are of another type, meant to be gross and gory.
It's like when people say the SAW films aren't scary, go watch a ghost movie. While there's not so much gore in AHS I disagree about it not being creepy, it's ultra creepy and twisted, that's the style of the show.
I must agree though, the first season was far better.

AHS is really supposed to be disturbing and twisted, not really outright scary. It's not the kind of thing that lingers with you like horror movies do unless you're really, really sensitive to that kind of stuff.
