Yay face questions. Everybody likes a face question/

Now my acne isn't that bad at all, it's just in the 'T-Zone' but I've been using stuff and it just doesn't seem to work at all, it's still exactly the same as 3 months ago and I'm not sure if I'm just super impatient or if...idk...

I'm not sure if brands are the same, but I use Dove to wash my face and Biore for toning and moisturiser but in the evening, I still wash my face with Dove but I used this prescription stuff called Eyracne (don't know if these brands/names are used anywhere else), but it hasn't seem to work and the Eyracne stuff has expired, and considering it's prescription stuff, I doubt I'll be able to get it again.

So what has worked for you? If you can, Australian brands are nice, so I can actually purchase them with ease. Thank you~

Hi there, for me works good cochlear cream. There are many such stuff among Korean cosmetics. I used Mizon.

Get a face cloth, soak it in HOT water, as hot as you can stand, and then lay it on your face until it gets luke warm and do it again. Repeat twice.

That worked WONDERS for my friend.

I can only think that if you got a prescription and it did not work then maybe think about going back to the doctor but if you wish to try something at home then perhaps best to use no Biore or moisturiser in that area for a few days and see how that goes. Dove is a very mild soap and the perhaps try washing in luke warm water. Very hot water just stimulates the natural skin oils. I have seen Tea tree oil on some web sites - maybe even ask at the pharmacy.

Tea Tree Oil usually works within a couple of days for me. Also, I don't know if you can get it in Australia, but Burt's Bee's Acne Solutions do okay. It's like all organic so it doesn't always do the best job clearing your skin but it puts less chemicals and things on your skin so you're less likely to get more in the future.

If you want I use Clearasil. It really works for my acne buildup. It's like 6-7$ at WalMart and for a WalMart brand it really works. My gf had some acne problems so I told her to try it and within a few days her face was less oily, and had less acne.

DON'T BUY/USE FANCY LOOKING/SOUNDING STUFF.
Just dont.
In most cases you'll actualy find that skin problems are caused by a type of might allergic or sensitive reaction to smell or colour products.
I have tremendous skin problems, I forgot the name of the syndrome, but basily once you're medicaly having problems with your skin no matter what, even acne, you'll find out that doctors basicly advice to just not use any cream that has added colour, smell, thickening or thinning product in it whatsoever.
Best solution has for me always clearly been,
don't put things on it unless it's got no additives. Wash your hands often, don't rub your face or your acne!, stay hygenic. They should go away naturaly.
Otherwise the best you can do is hide it, but most people hide it by putting stuff on it which in case will make it worse.

The only thing that ever worked for me was accutane. It's basically the strongest acne treatment out there. Prescription only, and you have to get blood tests every month to make sure it isn't damaging your liver. I'm off it now (a course only lasts about six months) and I still have almost perfectly clear skin. The side effects were annoying. It makes your lips dry as fuck. They peel, bleed, hurt most of the time, and lip balm doesn't really help. It also makes your skin dry all over, makes you more likely to get a sunburn, and can cause nosebleeds. Still, I'm glad I took it. I went from horrible acne to clear skin.

I only got prescribed accutane after not responding to every topical treatment, and two different antibiotics. For most people, other treatments are enough. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are the most common. Don't waste your money on fancy creams with random bullshit ingredients in them. Just find something with with of those in it, and try it. I like benzoyl peroxide more, but try both and find what works for you. You can try different cleaners, but they all work in basically the same way. Also, ask your pharmacist what they recommend. They know the products very well and can tell you which ones to try.

If that doesn't work, ask your doctor. Prescription treatments have more side effects, but are more effective. If over the counter treatments don't work, you might want to try a prescription treatment, to prevent the acne from leaving permanent scars.

Lastly, when you try a new treatment, give it a few weeks to work, but don't wait months. If it doesn't work, try a different one. The only exception is if your doctor or pharmacist tells you it might take longer.

Every morning and night, I place a cold wet cloth onto my skin to help tighten pores, and then use an oxy pad. Once a week, I'll place a hot wet cloth, use a sugar and water scrub, and then use a cold cloth again once it's washed off.
After that, I'll place a teaspoon of honey on my face, since it works wonders for your skin. You can google sugar + water scrub, as well as benefits of honey if you want to know what I mean. :)

While I never get breakouts, I do get the occasional one or two pimples, and this helps get rid of/prevent them. :D

I'm not sure if you can get it in Australia, but a company called Lush Cosmetics has a line of organic, vegan beauty products, and they have a facial scrub called Ocean Salt that is incredible. You can order it online, but I'm not sure if you can get it in Australia. Check it out, it's definitely worth it if you can get your hands on it.

I love Lush! All of their products are completely handmade and organic and they're fantastic quality. Not just their facial scrub, all of their products are amazing. I'm currently using their setting powder and dry shampoo. I highly second this post.

Their masks are amazing too! They have one called Catastrophe Cosmetic, and it's a blueberry-based mask with all kinds of good stuff in it, and it's high in antioxidants that help make your skin healthier. You have to keep the masks in the fridge, but they're awesome. Love all of their products, I've used their soap bars before too.

If the suggestions above don't work for you, you could always go to a dermatologist and get a prescription-grade acne cleaner. That's what I did and it worked ok, until I found out that my insurance didn't cover it. :(

I've heard steaming your face helps. I've never tried it though, alternatively you could go to the docs and they will give you medication for it, but there are some pretty horrific side effects. Sudocrem is also effective(so I've heard). I've never really done anything about my acne, but I find if you just leave the spots alone they go away, my ex used to want to burst the spots all the time and when she did I felt that it just made them worse, because if she went for the ones that didn't have white heads it just left a red mark and eventually scarring .. GOODLUCK :D

I've been slacking off a little bit lately, and as a result I have gotten a bit more than I did before. So yeah, I'm a believer in this. Haha!
