Ok so I'm in 8th grade, and I've liked this girl for about 2 years. We mess around with each other alot and do mean yet funny things to each other. She thinks I'm funny, and always wants me to sit next to her everywhere, and gets giggly and excited around me, but doesn't blush or anything. One time, we were on a bus and she wanted me to sit next to her, so I did. While we were on the bus, she turned her body towards me and said while giggling "Look, my boobs are bouncing so much!" She's done something like that before, but the thing is everyone's always been saying that she liked this other guy that alot of girls like, she even told me in 6th grade. So I really don't know, but we are very similar, so should I ask her out or what? I don't want to ruin our friendship if she says no, so idk what to do! Help!

I would work my way up to that, but you can have a conversation about her feelings about dating, is she interested in anyone, etc and see what happens from there. if the opportunity presents itself, ask her if she would ever consider going on a date with you.

as far as not losing her as a friend, it can happen sometimes. if she feels awkward about being asked or if she says no, it may break your heart. on the other hand, she might say no, but you two could continue being just great friends

so yes I say go for it, but just don't blurt out the question. work your way towards it
