Leg Shaving

For those of you with enough hair on your legs/chest/pits for you to shave it (and even those who don't that would like to voice an opinion), what are your thoughts on shaving it? What do you think of guys who do shave their legs or chest? Also, for those of you in sports like swimming, do you think it can you an edge?

Personally, I have nothing against someone that shaves any part of themselves. It's their body, they can do what they want with it. That being said I do think some people look better with a more clean, shaven look. :3

EDIT: I shave my legs sometimes, depending on my mood and the weather :P I kinda like it because everything feels different, like crawling into bed seems totally foreign. Not something I'd keep for any longer than a few weeks though.

I'm kinda neutral on the matter. Usually straight people do it here only if they want to show off tattoos or if they're part of a specific lower-class subculture, so I'd be wary if I saw someone with shaved legs. Outside of Brazil? Sure, go for it. I haven't any problem just leaving it there.

As for sports, I guess it's much more of a placebo effect outside olympic-tier swimming.

I have a good amount of leg and arm hair and I leave it like that. The only reason I'd see to shave it is for a tattoo, which I'm getting probably quite a few, and I the hair gets out of control to the point where it needs trimmed... Like the hairs on your head.

I don't shave my leg or armpit hair or anything like that, only my pubes occasionally. I don't have any chest hair to shave. I can understand why some do it for sports like swimming for example, otherwise I don't see why you'd wanna do it

I am pretty hairy so is the majority of my family. I feel men are supposed to have body fair so I don't shave. But if guys want to do it for any reason, I don't care.

naw I only shave my facial hair and trim my pubes. I am not super hairy though so it is not a super big deal

I am sort of jealous of guys with hairy legs; mine are still smooth. I'll probably have to shave for swimming even if I get hair though.

nothing to be jealous about haha. its kind of annoying. especially if you don't like it... because shaving and trimming are both rather annoying. :|

I shave pits and pubes by choice - I guess swimmers maybe body builders shave for the sport but each to thier own.

If you don't have hair, you feel jealous or less manly.

If you do have hair, you want to shave it because it's gross.

Unless it was so thick I looked like a grizzly bear or something I don't see myself shaving it ever.

less hair is IN man... i feel like lots of people prefer less hair than more. Its not about looking manly. I'm sure it looks great. and I'd trade with u. not that i have way too much or anything.

And yeah, the upkeep gets kinda annoying. Plus if you find out your razor is dull half way through it will be an uncomfortable week O.O

Honestly I shave everything but my legs even though I have no reason to do it but I have heard that shaving all body hair gives a slight edge in swimming and in any case it's your choice do do what you feel is best

I have shaved my pubic hair once, but never anything visible to others, I think it would be weird, though in my case my brothers would all notice immediately, so maybe I'm a little more self-conscience about it than people who might not get noticed or just get seen by friends.

I don't really shave anything but my pubic hair, if you want to shave in other places, go ahead. I don't mind armpit,leg,etc. hair, but I don't like pubic hair. I do shave my face as well but I don't have to do it all the time, but my mom yells at me for not doing it because It grows back fast :/

Personally I'd shave my chest but I'll leave my puts and leg hair cuz in a way it showcases your masculinity. But once u shave u gotta maintain otherwise it'll be one tough ride when the hair starts to grow again esp ur pits and chest
