How to start a conservation with this girl?

Hi, so I'm a junior in HS, and I've always been one of Those "unpopular"/"awkward" kids..anyway this year i keep seeing this girl in the hallways...she's gorgeous and has beautiful smile and always catches my attention. My friend went to grade school with her so Ik her name and added her on fb. She accepted my friend request , idk what to do now. I don't have classes with her so I can't really talk to her in school but I don't want to sound creepy by messaging her without her even knowing me. So I'm wondering what I should say in the message, I thought something like "hey I added you the other day cause I keep seeing you around school, and I had to say something because I think your one of the most gorgeous girls in the school" but idk if that's too much. any suggestions??? Thanks so much in advance.

Ok- enough with my technicalities- I simply began talking with my girlfriend (when I had her) by simply saying "hi and how are you doing?". I know this sounds cheesy but you want the girl to know that although you may be as "awkward" as you say you are (which I count my bottom dollar you're actually not!), you still care about other people more than yourself. People love other people who put others first before themselves. It makes them feel better- and it will make you feel better too.

Look, one thing you can say is be like "Hey, I see you around the hallways. How are you?" it's always good to start things casual. Sound like you want to be her friend, not get into her pants. If she enjoys talking to you, then she'll keep talking to you. If she doesn't, well, then she doesn't want to go out with you. I do hope things go well for you~
