Hey, I was wondering what you're favorite OS is! Feel free to state you're reason(s)!

:hmm:

I think that the Debian fans would be quite upset, as well as the Chromebook guys, Android (yes, for netbooks), BSD fans, Slackware fans, RPM fans, Vista fans, fucking Solaris fans which are totally different thing, OS/2 fans, DOS fans... you get my point. Also Windows 10 beta fans. Jeez. You could at least put Ubuntu or something, what the hell happened to Linux?

I use Win8.1 primarily, with Mint on my system. I loved #! (more so than Mint) but after a mess because of my fucking GPT formatting I cba to put it back again.

I really liked XP when we used to have it. Our new desktop has Windows 7 and that is also pretty nice.

I really dislike all Apple products and find them terribly difficult to operate coming from a long history of PC products.

I still prefer a right-click and the ability to have more control over files and folders. Apple attempts to make things easier by using only one-click or really streamlined functions. I prefer being able to perform a task using any number of ways. I feel more in control of a PC.

*pssst*, I don't think he knows a lot about computers, we shouldn't shout...top much...and limit yourself to throwing only 1 rock. I really did like Crunchbang, but I had issue with the screen tearing with video playback that as far as I could tell where unfixable. If they just add Vsync then mygod, I'd run #! on every PC I own.

Dude, like Alex said, your missing SOOOOOOO many operating systems.

I vote Windows 10, #! (That's crunchbang), and Ubuntu.

Since when #! came with anything?
It's a shame that something whent wrong with Vsnyc. Reinstalling #! didn't help? Could be a faulty EDID.

I tried EVERYTHING, reinstalling, third party drivers, EDID, even tried making my own drivers, tried new and old versions of it. Every trick and odd fix I could fond on the internet, none worked, but that was with my old desktop, I have yet to try it on my laptop, I might give it a go. Bit I suppose that's the price you pay for such a lightweight (and well made) OS.
And ye, what's the point of Linux if not to confuse, annoy and frustrate :P, but I wish it had worked, of really was a brilliant OS, I wish laptops came with it standard, people would love it of only they had heard of it.

I am pretty familiar with Windows 7 (that's what I have used for awhile) so I am gonna say that.

I'm currently using windows 10 and I like it.

It's like windows 7 ( which im a big fan of ) and windows 8.1 had a baby, It's awesome. It's still being built atm and It's going to be released next year ( according to Microsoft ).
It's easy to use, easy access to things and its just better than Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 :)

Vista fans

These exist?

Anyways :P Since this was not multiple choice, I voted XP. I personally hate Windows 8 with a burning passion. Mac OS has some good features, but has SO many drawbacks imo, and I love Windows 7, but it's missing some features I liked on XP (cause piracy laws lel)

Anyways,

For performance: Win7
For features: All 3
For design: Mac
Personal fave: XP

And there ya go.

Well compared to my previous computer, which had Windows XP, I am a big fan of Windows 8.1 right now as I find it easier and better equipped compared to Windows XP.

I'm not one to really have a preference, but I run Windows 8.1 on my desktop and I like it a lot better than OS X 10.9 tbh. Haven't gotten OS X Yosemite for my MacBook yet though, so my opinion may change.

Windows XP. My first computer was a windows xp and I loved the whole setup and everything. Vista/7/8 - are okay, but xp was way better. Shame they discontinued it.

I use both Windows and Mac but I like Mac since everything is just quicker and Windows Update is seriously annoying.

Right now I love the look and feel of Windows 8.1, so I'll go with that.

Normally I'd answer windows 7 but I've become very accustomed to Win 8 and 8.1 so that got my vote.

Yeah its odd. Especially because apple is the only computer company who's sales are increasing year over year. Also the whole thing were updates are now free makes it a lot more appealing to upgrade.
