I can almost imagine the response being like an AA meeting except with thousands of voices going “Hi Molly”. Seems like a lot of you have found me already and I’m being described as “interesting”. Not sure quite what to make of that. Maybe it’s cuz you’re not quite sure what to make of me! So here’s the scoop.
I live in the middle of nowhere in northern Michigan. It’s not quite the end of the world but on a clear day you can see it from my back porch. But I love it here! Trees and lakes and farms all around and it’s peaceful. But I’m not alone out here and got some really good friends that are within biking distance. I bike TONS and am in a cycling club.
I also swim. I’ve got ADHD and my Mom read about how Michael Phelps has it too and his mom got him started in swimming to give him an outlet for his energy so she did the same with me. That doesn’t mean I’m gonna be another Michael Phelps (don’t have a penis for one thing!) but I like being on a team and it’s really helped me calm down. Some. I still have my days but they’re getting to be less and less. That may also explain why some of you find me “interesting”!
I’m in 8th grade and do pretty good in school. At least so far this year. Had an “episode” last year where things all went to pieces for a while but got new meds and I’m doing better. Don’t have any brothers or sisters (I think my parents decided to quit while they were behind) but I’ve got a BFF who’s like a sister. We’re practically twins! Except she has blond hair, no freckles and is taller. She lives on a lake and I practically live there all summer! My Mom used to try to get me to come home sometimes but she gave up this summer and would just bring over food and offer to do laundry for Jaime’s mom once in a while. In the winter I ski and I’m getting pretty good. I haven’t run into anything solid in two winters!
Guess that’s the story of Molly.
