So last Thursday, Google announced this year's nexus devices. The Nexus 6 phablet, the Nexus 9 Tablet, and the Nexus Player.
With those, Android 5.0 Lollipop was announced.
What do you think of them? Is the N6 too big? Is the player too much like an expensive chromecast? Is the N9 not the best tablet ever?
And what do you think about Android Lollipop?

I really wanted to get the Nexus 6, but I don't want it anymore. I mean 6.0"? That's a ridiculously sized phone. Haven't checked out the nexus 9 and won't check it out, my Samsung Galaxy Tab is working just fine 4 me.

I too was thrown off by the size, until I compared it to some other phabs. It's just about the same size as the iPhone 6+, and note 4. I made a little mockup to scale out of cardboard, and it's actually not too big. I have big hands though... :P
I usually use my 2012 N7 in bed with 2 hands, and that's much bigger than the n6, so i'm actually looking forward to it being smaller XD.
I'm glad your tab is working out for ya :)
Unfortunately, my 2012 N7 has become horribly slow, almost unusablw after the 4.2 update :(. I'm hoping 5.0 will help with the ART runtime...
I think the Nexus 9 is pretty neat cuz it's got the most powerful GPU and highest performing single core processing CPU that's ever been in an android device. And with L, I think it will be the smoothest android experience ever! Plus stereo front speakers, and a gorgeous display. Idk I think Google and HTC made a serious iPad competitor.

I really stopped caring about stuff like this, I used to get excited, but these days I've realised they are just slightly more powerful devices, that are simply a medium to move money from your pocket to Googles. I kinda stopped caring.

That's understandable. But every once in a while, I find something interesting keeps my attention.

Pros:
Decent screen res (1440 x 2560px; 493ppi)
decent camera (13mp)
Extremely generous amount of memory (3072MB!!!)
Decent processor compared to older Nexus phones (2.7Ghz Quadcore)
Large battery (3220mAh), claims 24 hourstalk time (not confirmed in real world tests yet)
LTE ("4g")
64GB storage
Cons:
Non 64bit processor
6 inch is huge (no that's what she said jokes please :D )
Quite heavy (184grams)
Non-expendable storage (No microSD slot)
Edit: Personally sticking with my LG Nexus 4 for at least a few more years :P

True
As for those cons
-64bit won't actually do much to performance nowadays. Phones don't need 64bit capabilities IMO. Apple used it as an advertising point.
-Yes 6in is big 0_0 but that can be a pro
-if it weighs less than my 2012 N7, then I'm happy :)
-I think 64gigs is enough, for me at least.
How long have you had the N4?

I've had my N4 for about a year and a bit now I believe, got it as they went on special a few months before the N5 was announced.
It's getting towards a time where 64bit is almost a must, in the year 2038 32bit processors will reset their clocks due to reaching the max number processable on a 32bit chip (2147483647), which is the number of seconds since 1 January 1970. This doesn't sound like much of a problem due to 2038 being still 24 years away, though once you start to take into account certain apps that rely on the clock to still be accurate in the future (calenders, etc) this will be a major problem before 2038. Granted, it still may not be a problem for at least 10-15 years... But better earlier than later, right? As well as this, the ARMv8 (currently one of the better known 64bit mobile processors, same CPU as is in the iPhone 6) shows major performance boosts over previous 32bit CPUs. It's not just the jump of 32-64bits, there's a whole new architecture involved.
A phone weighing less than a tablet isn't overly an achievement... :P I guess for 6inches it's an alright weight though.
For me, I'm working with 16GB on my N4 and haven't even used half of it yet; 64GB would be more than enough IMO.

Sweet. The n4 is one of my favs :P
There have been multiple solutions proposed. And I think by then, everyone will have 1024 bit eye implanted communication devices. :P
You're right about that, but like most computer things, there's a lot of bottlenecks. From chip architecture to software, it will be many years before it's mainstream and/or needed. It's good Apple is pushing the 64bit movement though. Props to them.
Yeah lol. The n7 is 340 grams and the n6 is 180 grams, and the iPhone 6+ is 170 grams. So it'll be lighter than what I'm using now, and not much more heavier than the super thin apple version :P
Yeah I would normally be ok with 16gb, but in the past year, I've gotten really into photography and taking pictures of sports cars I see, so it fills up fast, and going from 8mp to 13mp, it'll fill up faster.
I also have a huge music library of about 20gigs of m4a slightly compressed and lossy. :/
Overall I guess I'm excited. :)

I think the products are good but the nexus 6 is really expensive especially when compared to the old one.
