So I relapsed after a little more than year of no self harming about a month ago. It started small, just like the very beginning. It's not so small anymore. I just need advice. I thought I was better and I wasn't, but I so desperately want to get better that I hate myself for messing it up, so I self harm more. It's a cycle in which I have no chance of winning. Please help me. Thank you.

Hey there, first of all I just want you to know that going a year without self harming is an amazing achievement and you should be proud of yourself for staying clean for so long :)
Have you told anyone that you've started self harming again? It's probably a good idea to let someone know, having somebody there to support you can make it a hell of a lot easier. You didn't mention getting any professional help before but it might be something to look into. Getting advice from an expert could really help.
There's also some alternatives to self harming that you could try such as;
- Pinging a rubber band off your wrist or squeezing ice cubes. Both of these methods can cause pain but they wont cause permanent damage or put you at risk of infection.
- Drawing lines with a red marker where you want to cut.
- Cut and tear up paper
- Punch a pillow
Quitting self harm is incredibly difficult but you can do it. Stay strong <3

This is all very good advice :)
We also have a non self harm calendar to keep track if you think that's something you'd use, and you're always free to vent here as well, we're always here to help. :)
