I have a slightly big crush on a college classmate of mine, we have most of our classes together. By the way I looked into her body language, she seems to enjoy my company, but there's this other guy that she hangs around with all the time and, whenever she sees him, she's constantly joking with him. And I know that they can just be good friends and stuff, but it just bothers me seeing the girl I like having fun with another dude. Plus, in my life, in situations like this, the Murphy's Law(if something as the chance to go wrong, it will.) is always true. My love life was always like this. I think it's completely normal to be afraid of that, since it always followed the same pattern...

I seriously don't know what to do. I've been thinking a lot lately(since I'm an overthinking wreck), and I have two options: try and certainly fail, or just forget about all this shit and focus on my math degree, since it's the only thing that's going to be paying my bills in a few years. This last one is probably what I'm gonna do, but it just bothers me, I hate failing at stuff, I never got anything right crush-wise. Nothing. I'm a complete train wreck when it comes to crushes...

I can completely relate. Social signals are often a mystery to me.
Usualy when I think a girl likes me i'm wrong.
However her hanging around with a guy means absolutely nothing; you won't know she likes you or likes him untill you actualy find out.

I both hate and love having acrush, hate it because I become SLIGHTLY obsessed and just enjoy thinking about it, and hate it because it's distracting and frustrating because you want someone and they have no idea you even care.

I hate having crushes. The uncertainty kills me inside.

I would just keep it moving for now. Lusting over her is not worth your while right now. More important fish to fry, and I'm glad you understand that. If time goes along and you end up getting to know her more, great. If not, then oh well there will be other situations in life. Don't worry about it too much, these things happen all the time. Take care of yourself.
