I found a bump on my left testicle today, after last week having it hurt for several days and then stop. Bump that feels kinda like a hard pea jutting off the actual testicle inside.
Don't waste your time telling me to go to the doctor; I already have an appointment later this week. What I want to know is what the possibilities are for someone like me: 15 years old, technically obese, mostly through puberty. I know, I could just wait until the appointment to find out, but I'm impatient like that.
Thanks a lot.

Sounds like a growing hair to me, not really something to worry about

Could possibly be an ingrown hair, try not to worry too much. But smart thinking on going to the doctor, you never know. :) Let us know how you get on.

Are you talking about a bump on your actual testicle,or your scrotum? Because that's important, especially if it is your actual testicle which has the bump. If it is only on the scrotum, don't worry about it too much. Otherwise it could be something more serious.

Yeah, to those who say an ingrown hair, no. The bump is on the actual testicle, not my scrotum.

I had that . The doctor said it was a cyst . Around 2cm in length . Anyway , I'm still suffering the effects now even though the incident was over a year ago . My left testicle is significantly smaller than the other , around 30/40% of the size of the right . I've also had a testicular torsion ( twist )
PM me if you're worried , I know what you're going through . Keep me posted anyways :) .

Testicular cysts are not uncommon during puberty.
Testicular cancer is almost unheard of during puberty.
Good on you for getting it checked out, but chances are very good it's nothing. :)

No...14+ is the age where you are most likely to get testicular cancer. I think you might mean prostate cancer...that is almost unheard of during puberty. But it is very important to check like monthly for testicular cancer. It may well be a cyst, so try not to worry too much.

Yikes, you're right. I don't usually make such stupid mistakes as that. Testicular cysts are still much more common, but testicular cancer rates raise rapidly during puberty, not old age.

Yeah. This is a bit of a guess here, but-
Is it because cancer is a growth (basically) and so you are more likely to get it when they are growing (although in adult hood things grow and are depleted equally - which is why you can get cancer while you aren't growing) - and for prostate cancer the prostate enlarges in old age (therefore growth = more likely cancer) which is why old men often need the loo a lot? I've never seen a study on the matter, but that's what I've been told.

cancer is basically the replication of a faulty cell.
the reason testicular cancer happens during puberty is because its when the testes are growing the most.
what happens is cells reproduce by splitting, and cloning themselves.
when this happens, sometimes there is a small error in the copy, and thus a faulty cell is created- this cell replicates, then they replicate etc- eventually you get a cancerous growth of faulty cells
