National Coming Out Day

So being that National Coming Out Day is creeping up, this Saturday on October 11, anyone thinking about coming out to a friend, family member, or just even to yourself?

Even though I am not yet out to my family, I have suspicions that they already know and are going to be cool about it, but I would like the satisfaction of them knowing for sure. Also that I have other LGBT people in my family, and we aren't really conservative, but I'm still waiting.

I'm thinking about telling a few friends who don't know, and I'm still contemplating on telling close family and cousins and things like that.

I won't be coming out, I've kinda already decided that it's unnecessary. I come out to the people I need to be out to: i.e. close friends, partners/potential partners. No one else really needs to know, imo. (For me- I have no problem with the concept of coming out really)

I'm out to only two people, one of my close work friends and well my crush other than that, I don't have any real plans as of currently to want to come out to anyone else.

I actually ended up coming out to my brother on the 11th. I didn't want to. He asked, and I didn't really wanna come out but I didn't wanna lie but he didn't really care. I guess he just wanted to know.

I've never really gotten on the bandwagon for that day, but what I do enjoy is the positive messages that are sent. I know a youtuber who does very lovely talks every year on that day similar to It Gets Better videos. I never "came out," but I'm out. It's a nice message, but it would also be nice to spread the message that coming out shouldn't be necessary to be out.
