I'm being sent for CBT, whilst in theory I understand the porocess. I'm wondering if it actually works.
Has anyone here had experiance with it? Did it help?

I learnt about that in psychology, that means its probably good. Its all like reconditioning and stuff (bad hair jokes here)

This sounds like an odd way of saying it:

Soon I will be sent to a strang facility so that they can brainwash me and compleatly change the way I think and perceive the world.

Makes it sound eveil. Like something from a dystopian sci-fi book.

it does D:

I don't really know anything about it, it seems pretty interesting though.
If you could you should definetly post results or more realisticly just the way things go down there.

Tell ya what, if thing's actually change (I'm sceptical as to it's effectiveness), I'll update or make a thread.

I'm just imagening them tying me to a bed and a big machine with robot arms, needles, blades and saws. :P Even though I know it's just gonna be me talking to some random guy.

They attempted CBT with me. Asked me about shit and then tried to change it by giving me other options and honestly, for me it didn't do much. I'm pretty stubborn and I was stuck in this shitty mindset at the time so I really wasn't open to the therapy they attempted. If you're actually willing to get better and want to try the new methods then I honestly think CBT is the best way to go about it. They gave me about 3 different bits of 'homework' if you will like journals and stuff to look at my emotions/bullying that was happening during the week but I just forgot about that or was too swept up in how I was feeling to remember to note things down so that was more of a stress than it was beneficial for me.

Give it a go and do your best with it because if you're persistant with it I think it could really help you. I only had CBT for about 4 months so I didn't have much time to get used to it or for it to take effect but yeah, it's a lot of thinking about things and looking at ways to change them in your mind to make things easier rather than change them physically.
