I am already in a state that has legal gay marriage, but right now the majority of the country does not legalize gay marriage so this is a big improvement for gay rights, and LGBT myself, I'm proud to hear this news.

Actually before the ruling, it was 38% of states, now, it's 60%, that's *technically a majority...

Oohhh there's my state.
After they put it "on hold" after the first time legalizing it I didn't think we would get it back for years.

Super glad that progress is being made however I fear that it may be a long time before some of the more traditional states accept the inevitable tide of opinion that people can get married to whoever they want.

I have a bad feeling about this. What about those who never come to terms and agree? There will be Hell writhe in the States soon on both sides but initiated on the LGBT side. I'm 50/50 kind of glad gays are getting their marriage but only so that the annoying activists and anti-Christians will shut up.

How so?

If you can't answer that for yourself then you don't know what is coming.

That's kind of the point. I personally think everything will smooth itself over eventually, but I was hoping to hear your take.

Actually, this means it will. It paves the way for gay marriage in every state. Just wait for the ACLU to start filing the suits :D

What I meant was, it wasn't the majority before this came into effect. I now know this is a huge step forward, thats why I was so pleased about it. :)

Take your debate about Christianity out of this thread. This is a news article about gay marriage, and you are arguing about religion in the thread. Take it to ROTW, I have deleted your posts.

This is great news and all, but I can only imagine the shit storm that will ensue when Kansas legalizes it... You know because of the group that likes to picket funerals that shall not be named..

next time maybe split the posts into a new thread instead of deleting them? religion vs. sexual freedom is a huge part of the culture war and it's going to come up in discussions like this whether anyone likes it or not.

also, whoever decided it was a good idea to make two separate "News" and "Debates" subforums instead of one single "News & Debates" dun goofed hard, because what is 90% of news if not politics, and what is politics without inevitable policy and morality debates? just a thought.

So much for freedom of speech. This proves my point how the LGBT silences Christians. We won't be silent for long.

If you have a problem with a moderation decision, you can send me a PM about it. We're not going to further discuss it in the thread and derail it even more. :)

Freedom of speech has nothing to do with you posting off topic posts, and ranting about religion, in a thread about a supreme court decision. Again, if you have a problem with my moderation decision feel free to shoot me a PM and we can talk about it.
