It's so annoying. I never know when my period is coming anymore because it seems like it's always there. Ever since i started my period i've felt like sucha witch. It's even changed me for the worse, i think. =/
Are there ways to make it go away or make it not so strong?
I hate being so moody and not being able to fix it.

Talk to your doctor, they can give you types of medications that can lessen the effects of periods on you.

Aren't they starting to use the Pill now even for reasons that aren't sex-related (birth control)? Like I heard they use it now to regulate your period or something; which might be what the doctor would prescribe for you.

yea, that was basically what i was referring to. our doctor can prescribe certain types of birth control to help shorten or regulate your periods!

I agree with those two^
I've read and heard (and I asked my mom, and she said it too) that the Pill makes everything during your period milder, including the mood swings
try ask your doctor about it! :)

Lol they're not just starting to do it, but yes that's correct. There are some non-prescription pills you can find in drugstores and the like [I've seen them at Walmart as well] that make your period easier to bear [less painful cramps, etc]. To get it regular, though, you should consult your doctor to see what's best for you.

I agree with talking to your doctor about going on a very low dose of the Pill to help manage your periods if they're that unbearable. I know from experience that periods while you're on the Pill are lighter, the cramps aren't as bad and you don't turn into Super Bitch once a month. XD
Though if you don't want to try that, try checking out those meds that Val suggested, they don't sell anything like that here, so I dunno if they work or not, but I'd say they're worth a try. :)

Agreed, talk to your doctor. Birth control can make your periods less severe, and they even have pills such as Yaz, which are birth control drugs that are actually designed to lessen the effects of PMDD, which is like PMS but the symptoms are severe enough to get in the way of your everyday life. You may not have PMDD, and it'd be good to talk to your doctor before jumping to any conclusions, but if you do, something like Yaz could help you out. If you also have really bad cramps, or heavy bleeding, start keeping track of your periods, by marking 28 days (or, if you happen to know that your schedule is every 26, or 30, or whatever, mark that) after the day you started your last one. Then, two or three days before you're due, start taking ibuprofin every 8 to 10 hours, and keep doing that until after you've started your period and don't feel like you need it. Use common sense though, and DO NOT take it any sooner than every 8 hours though, unless it says its ok on the bottle, or you could end up making yourself rather sick. If done correctly, the cramps wont be as bad, and the bleeding tends to be less severe. Its what my doctor told me to do, and I find it helps a lot. As for your mood though, the best advice I can give is what everyone else already said. See your doctor about what you can do to make it better. :)
