How long does it take you to get over a crush.

If you have a crush on someone, how long is it before you no longer crush or someone you liked but never talked to, and they turned out to be not what you expected.

To me it would have to be a couple weeks. Like I would obsess over them thinking they were the one I would be with forever, then I find out they are a jerk and I don't even know why I crushed on them in the first place.

Me personally, it really depends on who they are. And how well I know them and how long I've known them. And sometimes it affects others more than some. It varies between different people

I don't like the word crush, rather the word limerence, a very strong and irrational attraction but mostly unfounded. I was limerent for a girl for around two years, which is more or less the maximum.

Well, if it's just a "he looks kinda cute" then I can easily get over it after a day. If I see them every day and I've liked them for at least more than 2/3 months (I think), it could take a while. I like a guy for 6 months and I'm still finding it difficult to forget him (So that's a year and a half now)
