Like about 90% of the population of the internet, I had the initial WTF reaction when Miley Cyrus turned from America's Country Sweetheart to a full blown popstar, but it's taken me until now to get it.
The girl is not an abomination by any means, her stunts are alot less attention seeking than many of the ones in the limelight now, and to be honest, she makes some pretty damn good music.
Let's take a second to compare, Cyrus to another popular WTF icon, Nicki Minaj. Unlike, the recent "Anaconda" to come down the pike, Miley's songs all have symbolism, amd some kind of meaning other than to make the straight male fanbase unzip their collective flies.
Thoughts?

I honestly couldn't care less. I think she should do her own thing and people who like her should like her and people who don't like her should like something else instead.

Hmm, I'm still not a HUGE fan of Miley, but it's just because I don't particularly like her music. (Which is actually fairly rare) I mean, I appreciate her as an artist, but her tunes themselves don't do much for me. I think she has her moments of insight as well, and she handles the collective hate she gets pretty well.
Though I do have to say, I LOVE her cover of Jolene. Chills. She does have a good voice, I just don't feel it's being put to the best of use, tbh.

After listening to Bangerz, I found that for the most part, it's a pretty solid album. It's got slow songs, fun party/pop songs, and songs that have meaning to them. She's actually a really good artist and it takes someone from seeing her on a stage to actually listening to her music and what her lyrics are saying before they can really see that she's not as bad as she seems. I, personally, love what she's doing. She's becoming what she likes and what she thinks is best for her and I like that.

I don't really like either of those pop star girls...most of the music is basically meaningless to me...and at the same time all of them have a few songs I like listening, too.
They are all attention seekers every single one in her own way...I guess that's part of being a pop star...
All of the seem to think that they are only interesting when they shove their tits and ass in your face whenever they can...dunno if that works for other males, I personally don't like it cuz I find females unattractive, so yeah...
I feel that it is kinda sad if women get or at least think they only get attention when they get naked.
This being said I have to admit I like Nicki Minaj better cuz she is actually really funny and I can never forgive Miley Cyrus for what she did to twerking.

Maybe she wants to do what she likes as an artist. I do remember Hannah Montana a while ago and it's a different music style than what she does now. She don't even look the same at all. But like I said, she is still making money and still has lots of fans including myself, so I can't really complain about her.

He voice is kind of generic, and her audience is people who don't care about its lyrics. MI think it's s grest marketing move to change as your audience does though. Her covering Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds was a step too far therefor please stop.

I'm gonna hop back in and add that I heard this song again recently, and I'm kind of addicted. Plus Borgore is a total babe.
