When I tried to upload an avatar, it keeps say that it's too large. Why can't avatars be resized for you? The quality becomes shitty if I do it myself on paint. Not everyone has a useful, expensive program such as Photoshop. The site used to resize them for us, but not any more!

Are there any ways to fix this issue? I felt that I had to post this because it's bothering me. I thought it was some glitch at first, but this is pretty consistent.

You don't have to resize them in Paint... there are other ways to do that just on your computer. & if not, you can upload them to an image sharing site and edit them that way (like imgur, for example).
Oh, also see this: http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=214007

I tried linking through photobucket, the site wouldn't have any of it, that feature seems to have stopped working.

As mentioned in other threads, we've been having issues with image uploading (and specifically, resizing) recently. I know Mike and Val haven't forgotten about it, but I don't think it's an issue that's easily fixed, but it'll be looked into. For now, does linking to Imgur or a similar site work rather than attaching or uploading an image directly?

GIMP is a useful, free program like photoshop!
You could resize them online, like this website: http://www.picresize.com/
