I found two different lubes in my parents bathroom. One is oil type and the other is silicon. Both say they have expired in 2012 but is it still ok to use???

I think the expatriation date is just a Sell By date, meaning the store were they got the oil and silicon from couldnt sell it by 2012, the lube should still be fine.

the dates on there are for the store people to know when to take it off of their shelves, but it should be okay for you to use to jo or whatever because its not like milk where it will go bad or anything.
