Have any of you watched Revolution?

A couple months ago Revolution was at the end of its second season, and it was also the last episode.
I was a fan and I missed it. The last episode made me really want to see what would happen next, until they canceled it.

Were you a fan?
What do you think they should've done?

You know what, I never knew this was done by the same man behind Lost. I think I might give this series a shot. I'm not really a big fan of the end of the world apocalyptic genre or theme. I'll try to check out the pilot this week when I have the time and I give you my synopsis of it and we can discuss what characters we like and what not. I am a fan of action shows though. Like 24, Criminal Minds and things like that. I'm pretty sure if I gave the show a look I would like it. I did see Marvel agents show and it just wasn't my cup of tea so I am pretty picky when I need to be. So yes I will give revolution a chance though.

Wouldn't recommend watching though. You may like it, but they canceled it forever. I hated that. The last episode made me really want to know what happened next

I was excited about it when it first came out. I like the doomsday/contagion/end of the world type shows, but halfway through the first season they lost me. Half the people were fighting with muskets or swords but then there was a group that had basically laser guns.

All the characters were unlikeable. There were countless times where sworn enemies had the opportunity to kill the other and then they wouldn't for whatever lame reason. That's not the way things would really happen. That's what makes Walking Dead so great, they're not afraid to kill off major characters to advance the story. Too many shows would never think about killing a regular character.

Also I didn't like how those little amulets could mysteriously turn the power on for certain people. And one women breaks her leg and another has cancer but those nanobugs secretly and instantly fixed/cured them. That was just stupid.

If the show just revolved around mankind after the power goes out and the trials and tribulations of trying to restart society, it would have been a good show but they had to ruin it by adding ridiculous fantasy technology and whiny annoying people.

Don't be. I was mad when it was permanently canceled

I see what you're saying. Some stuff to me was kinda pointless. And the final episode where the nano tech somehow brought some people back to life. Not really but Tom Neville's son was killed and the nano tech made him visible to only Tom.

One thing I certainly agree on is the whiny annoying people. To many of them.

Didn't care for the one woman, Rachel.. Always bitchin about something

It aired on Sky1 in the UK. First season is on Netflix I think

I watched all 42 episodes and except for 3 or 4 they were all pretty bad. The story was just ridiculous and the only good thing about the show was Miles and Monroe being absolutely hilarious.

Well in his opinion yea. But I still strongly suggest to everyone who hasn't seen it to not watch because if they do like it, well its been cancelled so you understand

Ehh, I didn't really watch it because I'm not a fan of the genre at all. My mom was pretty into it though.

Yea we all all have our own preferences. What did your mom think of the show?

She stopped watching after a while because it was too pointlessly violent for her taste, if I remember right.

I dropped Revolution after 5 or 6 episodes, didn't go back. I had high hopes for it but quickly lost interest. It seems many did in terms of ratings for its second season.
